We love coming here and the staff have been wonderful. Didn’t love our first site because of the shade and the constant shower of leaves and bird poop and the concrete pad is broken up and a bit dangerous but we have asked for a different site when we put our deposit down for 2025. Love this resort and the activities and amenities and our neighbours were amazing ♥��

Active campground with lots of activities and things to do. We stayed for 3 months and liked it so much that we reserved for next year. Campground is very close to stores and 2 flea markets within walking distance. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

+ Great activities Pickle Ball & pool’s. would love to see a “Quilting” group started. Looking forward to next winter & seeing our friends. _ serious flooding issues when it rains that need to be addressed.

Employees are terrific! Specifically Becca, Elizabeth, and Jeff. It is apparent that some infrastructure work is required and the laundry facilities need to be kept in good repair, also noticed internet poles leaning etc. still love the resort it has so much to offer!!

The staff was excellent however, the facilities are not being maintained well. We had flooding at our campsite due to drains being paved over. Site pads are broken and displaced. Roads need resurfacing, we had multiple power outages and an 8 hour water shutoff. Rates are up by over 50% with no increase in ammenities. Reservations for this year were very difficult but those for next yr seem better

We like the Okeechobee KOA and will return however there were a lot of infrastructure problems this year and the increasing prices while perhaps understandable do not appear to be making significant improvements. Policy changes about booking, prices was often difficult as well as wanting to know if we can get the same site was problematic. Staff are kind and helpful but additional staff needed!

Lovely resort and campground. Exceptionally clean restrooms and showers. Too bad we didn't have full power to our campsite when we arrived. We spent some money on a repair person who was able to tell us the problem was not ours, but half power from the source (Mar 8-10, 2024 not able to run air conditioning) Problem solved March 11/24.

I like the park and people but things need to be fixed. water is an issue too many times with out and then boiling alerts..4 times... poor street drainage. closing the store early and golf course...... and then the shanty these are the money makers for the park. Poor or no management all the money being spent is for the ELS company nothing for the campers. Then they wonder why people are ma

Well I’ve stayed in this park many times before, this time I booked online and the photo shown was not the cabin that I got booked into. We were told that it’s a web issue and to always call to confirm! “What’s the point of having inaccurate information on a website ??? We did agree to stay in one of your on-site trailers for our stay. We always have loved KOA Okeecobee. FIX your website

Did not have fun there was nothing for kids to do here they sell you a dream they tell you oh yes there's a lot of stuff here to do that's not true the only thing they have is bingo for the residents that live here you can't get into the gym you can get into nothing unless you pay extra my kids was not happy I stayed two nights the first night we stayed my kids was getting bit by stuff on the beds

This was our second trip to this KOA. We spent 2 nights in a rustic cabin. The grounds are amazing.

Excellent amenities and pool. Cabin was a little bit dirty and had spider webs in the shower. Bedroom Ac was difficult to understand and needed a manual.

Stayed in cabin that was on the golf course/ with water behind cabin. We came w 2 boys who love to fish and that is exactly what they did the entire stay!!! They caught many fish and all staff was helpful and nice! Only complaint about staying in that cabin was the everyday early mowing on the golf course !! That won’t stop us from returning bc everything was excellent!

Love this campground. Our first stay was to assess any further damage to our 5th wheel after Ian. This stay was to set up our new motor coach. We hope to take advantage of amenities on our next stay.

The worst campground experience ever from a KOA! Broken slabs unleveled sights with terrible water drainage. Monthly stay had constant interruption of water shut off and boiling for 3 days . To many shutdowns of various facilities . Under staffed and overcharging for electric. Still waiting for refund. Have multiple pictures to prove. Beware of older reviews this is Jan -Feb 2024 experience.

We had a nice time there. The weather was good but the water needed to be boiled for three days when we first arrived. Also our electric connection was inadequate but we guess was fixed sometime after we got there. Sites were somewhat tight and the concrete pads for parking were really broken up. Bathrooms were good, golf course was enjoyable, and there were plenty of activities to keep us involve

Quite pricey campground that was supposed to offer free cable TV. Not functional on my site and hasn’t been for a while. Internet available if you pay. I did and it was too slow to stream. Very large resort.

Very enjoyable, our second year at Okeechobee. Plenty of activities as usual. Stayed in a basic cabin this year and suggest these are in need of updating, maintenance or knockdown/replacement. All of these units should have a small refrigerator. Lots of fun at the Shanty weekend dances although the March 9th event was somewhat off given drunken state of entertainment. Hope to see you next year.

The cabin was great. Very clean roomy. Just a heads up Bathroom floor was soft from shower water. At first were not set up for texts and our water was shut off and we were not aware but they resolved and we received all texts which kept us informed of activities. Loved that

Pros - beautiful clean cabin with cold ac, stocked with linens, pillows, shower necessities, and a Keurig. My kids loved having their own side room with bunk beds. Each day staff would send a text of upcoming activities which was great. Very clean campground. Flea market, Lake Okeechobee, Walmart, Publix and Dunkin' are right next door. Cons - playground was under construction, pool was refreshing but the water became very warm especially the 1ft toddler pool. Only two shade screens and two umbrellas on the family pool deck leaving many chairs in the blistering sun (90+ degrees). Pool pavement was too hot. WIFI is not free. KOA staff were great and did a great job reminding guests of the pool rules. Thank you Lake Okeechobee KOA for great weekend away!

I have been coming to this KOA more than 20 years. It has definitely changed. Elizabeth at front desk is amazing. Cabin was clean. While I see they have made some improvements recently. The family pool was covered in bugs floating around large piles gross not even a net around as we was going to clean it ourselves. Some of the workers seemed as if they didn't want to work but wanted paid for it. It was Care camp weekend pool was full of kids my daughter was the only one who knew about the activity and participated. The old activity director used to yell around the pool to advertise she wanted people to come. At BINGO I went in guy running it said yes I said I'm checking on BINGO he said yes if anyone comes and I need more than 2 people once again pool was full but no advertising so I got my whole family of 5 to go in so my daughter could play BINGO. He even made a comment to his friend he was busy talking to well I guess I have to do BINGO. Lots of complaining about nobody doing activities but the past Activities director advertised shouting it at the pool area for families. My son was missing the Hungry Man breakfast as it was always his favorite on the menu he was sad to see it changed.

Great place with plenty of different things to do. You should never be board here. The staff and fellow campers are very friendly.
