From I-20 midway between Atlanta and Augusta, take Exit 130, GA-44 W 5 miles to Carey Station Road. Turn right on Carey Station Road and travel 5.1 miles to the campground on the left.
From the north take US-129 S/US-441 S/GA-15 S. Turn left onto GA-12W/US-278 W/W Broad St for 3 miles, Turn right onto Carey Station Road for 2.7 miles to the campground on your right.
From the south take GA-44 E to Carey Station Road, turn left on Carey Station Road 5.1 miles on the left.

Happy May from Lake Oconee KOA!
Spring has sprung, temps are climbing, and summer is on its way.
With our spring cleaning out of the way, we’re gearing up for bathing suit season and getting our pools sparkling and clear for inspection, which we hope will come any day now. We’re also revamping our beach, boat launch, and fish house for our lake lovers in preparation for our warmer temperatures on the way. We’ve also got our boat and golf cart rentals up and running. We have both 4 and 6 seat golf carts available for rent this year after many requests for the larger carts.
Another big update is that the Coffee Train is ALMOST ready for their soft opening! After a delay in equipment delivery, the Chandler Family is very eager to meet and serve all your caffeine needs this summer. Come check them out for their soft opening in the middle of May with a Grand Opening for Memorial Day weekend!
Also, in sad news, our amazing Danielle Turner, the Resort Operations Manager here at Lake Oconee KOA has spread her wings and flown off to a new adventure in hospitality elsewhere in Georgia. I know we’ll all sincerely miss her and the amazing work, blood, sweat, and tears that she put into making this your favorite Georgia camping destination, but the team here couldn’t be prouder of her and her accomplishments while she called this home.
There is so much to look forward to and we cannot wait to see our lake family and friends again.
