Only stayed one night. I did use the shower facilities but did not like that they were separate from the restroom.

Great fall colors ... Walked the hiking trail out of the campsite and follows Spearfish Creek, saw Brown trout ... Camp hosts were friendly and place was clean!! Loved it! Close to lots of outdoor stuff to do.

We arrived after the office closed .Our reservation package was outside ready for us .We found our lot easily . The campground looked very neat and tidy .

Our extended stay this visit was so restful. Perfect site, beautiful fall weather and wonderful staff. How can you improve on PERFECT.

Stayed during Sturgis Bike week with another camper, so we were subject to the OUTRAGEOUS price hike for camping during Bike Week. But that's our own fault. We kind of expected a little more space on the sites, they are pretty crowded. We did not really use any facilities, so we don't have mush to say on those. Staff was friendly. Just an ok place.

Hi Greg, Of course, one can always expect that the campground will be a bit crowded during bike week, it is the nature of the beast. Additionally, prices are always high during that time frame which is why we quote them and give guests the option of not making a reservation. Sorry you were unhappy

The camp ground is very clean and well kept. Employees were very polite and helpful. There is a nice off leash trail for walking dogs. Sites are level and all amenities worked as advertised. Great place to stay.

Was able to find a spot to stay at, after a long drive from Yellowstone. It was dark already when I pulled into KOA. The attendant was very helpful in finding me a campsite. Shower water was good n hot n appreciated after the long drive. Have stayed at Spearfish once before n will do so again in the future if needed. Thanks so much, George

We loved it. The site was fantastic. Hosts were super friendly. We will be back for sure. Can't say enough on how great the camp was.

No issues, nice campground. Nice bathrooms. Water was turned off due to freezing (mid October) but that's to be expected this time of year. Super comvenient location adjacent Spearfish

as always shower stalls need more hooks etc. otherwise fine. only stayed 1 night

Our showers are designed for one person each and we have found that two hooks are usually more than enough along with the small bench located in each shower. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the park and do hope you will visit again in the future.

Great place to hunker down during storms, that's what we did. But it's also great to see some sites, such as the Spearfish Canyon road, a scenic highway. Deadwood is nearby, as well as Sturgis if you're looking for other things to do. This park is a Journey type park, not much for kids to do like Holiday parks. There's walking and biking paths nearby through town, along Spearfish creek.

Thank you for the nice comments, however, we are a Holiday and are central to many, many area attractions. We are always happy to point these out if guests ask and more than happy to show you how to get there. Do hope you will stay again as we would love to have you see the area.

Easy after hours checkin! Clean and great amenities. Best KOA booklet I have seen yet with fab maps and relevant info for RV'rs! Very welcoming even showing us a nice river walk right beside park. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice campground and well located to enjoy the surrounding blackhills area. Would have been a perfect stay if someone hadn't stolen my dress shirts from the laundry room.

So sorry your shirts disappeared. The only way to ensure that this does not happen is to "laundry-sit." We like to believe that this will not happen here and, this is a first time incident. The hope is that it will not become an ongoing issue. Thanks for staying at the Spearfish Black Hills KOA.

Hi Susan, Just an FYI, we are working on limiting freeway noise as evidenced by the trees planted along the boundary of our campground. Other than that, there is not a good solution, so sorry the noise was bothersome to you.

One of the nicest Koa campgrounds we have stayed at and we have been to about 20 different ones this year. The space was nice. Bathrooms were very nice and upgraded. Clean. Friendly staff.

Lovely campground with access to a fantastic nature trail which connected to the Spearfish Recreation Area. I have a dog and like to take long walks each day. I really appreciate the campgrounds that have access to good places to take a long walk. I'm also very interested in how different communities provide for access to green spaces and places to walk that are not on roads. Very impressive!

This is a super KOA. Great service and the facilities are among the best I’ve ever seen! The nature paths are fun and the scenery is top notch. There will be a return trip for us next summer!

This KOA is well-maintained with beautiful vegetation and a wide-range of services that support the camping experience. The hosts are first-rate and very accommodating. We loved it!

This was the best experience at an RV park yet. Everything at the park is just right, the location, the amount of trees around the spaces is nice, both for shade and adds to the privacy of each spot. Very well kept grounds and facilities, the cleanest i've seen! and the people are so helpful and friendly.

Campground was quite, laid out nice. The k9 area was enjoyed by my dog. We had no trouble getting to an from what we wanted to see. If we are in the Area again we will try to stay.

A miserable mattress! It has obviously been used since that cabin was built. Sleeps 4; 1 full size bed and twin bunk beds. $90 for a cabin where I had to bring my own bedding is pretty outrageous, I think. Especially since the night before I stayed in the same cabin in Rapid City and it was $40 less- and a much better mattress and space for 5 bodies. Beautiful, clean grounds/restrooms, however.

Sorry for your discomfort however,these cabins are billed as basic.This means a lighter mattress than one would find in our deluxe cabins.Often folks lay a sleeping bag on them, making them more comfortable.We are looking at the mattresses to see if replacement is required based on your input.

They are the friendliest family and keep a veey clean park. Normally, i do nor use rhe bathroom facilities but i did go in twice ans bith times they were extremely clean. They were helpful if we needed something and wede kind to suggest local places to see, shop, or eat. They wven let me have an Amazon pkg delivered. Absolutely a great place and family!

We stayed one night on Memorial Day. We had a pull thru on a graveled, level site with full hookups. Lots on grass around the site. Some trees. Dogpark is all grass and there's an off-leash nature walk very near. There's a heated pool that was open! We would definitely come back here and maybe stay longer.

I want to start by saying we were only there one night but we found the campground to be clean, nicely kept, fairly quiet despite being close to I-90 and easy to get in and out of with a 24' trailer and 1/2 ton crew-cab truck. The folks in the office were nice and accommodating. Near town which was good as well. Recommended!
