We use to stay every year and haven't stayed for a couple of years - but I will say the place looked a lot better than the last time we stayed - thanks

We full time in a 41’ fifth wheel. Our site was a dirt pull thru FHU with 30 amp. We had to maneuver around tree limbs to be able to get our sliders out. It’s an easy in and out from RT 101 but they need a bigger sign, you’re on top of the entrance b4 you see the sign. They’ve fixed the pot hole and removed to speed bump so entry is so much nicer. Gas & groceries are close by.

We loved this KOA. We stayed 4 nights. The staff there are really amazing helpful people. There’s lots of room to walk the dog. Redwoods in the camp which is green and plush. You’re outside of Crescent City so it’s quiet. I’ll be back!

Very clean and everyone was so nice. Thank you for the quiet stay!

The bathrooms were not cleaned. Our entire stay there was a long hair on one wall of the shower which is proof it was not cleaned. Two of the dryers were broken. The staff was wonderful. The poor goats stayed in dirty pens with only one little boy playing with them once. The grounds were gorgeous with the fantastic trees.

Great location! The laundry room was clean. The bathrooms are an 7/10 -- a little rough, but clean. The campground was quiet overnight, and the late check-in process was super easy.

Great informative, friendly service with a comfortable stay. Thank you Crescent City/ Redwood KOA

Quiet, peaceful, good nights sleep, and enjoyed being able to have a campfire and s'mores.

Office closed when I got there at three! Sign on the door said bicycle thefts were rampant! I read the map wrong and ended up backing my 38 ft trailer back out thru the trees! Was awake most of the night prepping for thieves! Not a good stay! Sorry! The campground is beautiful but….

Not like any other KOA we’ve stayed at, seemed under developed for tents. Showers were good, laundry needed washing machines wiped out….pet hair.

Great camp ground! Very clean areas and washrooms. Staff was warm and friendly all the time. Weather was great no AC needed… and no bugs to speak of….we will return!

Great location. Washrooms need to be maintained a little bit more often (there was no paper towel for the whole duration of my stay).

Overall it was good. Albeit, the forest fires of the year are not the fault of KOA. However, a notification of restrictions and lack of power and the amenities offered to us originally, would have gone a long way. We put up with cold showers and non-working bathrooms with backed up drains and septic. One now before we left of our 4 days, we got a warm shower. We just needed better communication.

I reserved in January based on 3 stays July-Sept 2022. I was shocked when I saw the extreme clean up done spring 2023 that eliminated the “private” illusion at the sites, but I understand. The regraveling off roads was a great improvement. And I am hopeful it will re-green itself. I noticed the replanting or placement of ferns and the redwood sprouts. But the 100 plus people that came loved it

Stayed during a time the area was without power or wifi due to a wildfire. Not many guests in the park, yet they still gave us to the tiny back in spot we originally reserved. Had the park had more guests that would be understandable. An upgrade in exchange for being charged full price for the 2 nights, would have shown appreciation for customer loyalty. Site to small for an rv with slide outs.

The personel were great especially given that the power was out. The campground had been a very pretty place to stay. I looked forward to staying there, nestled among the redwoods. It is no longer because so many of the trees have been removed. It is no ugly and barren. I won't be back!

Unfortunately, the electrical power had been cut to the campground because of a fire near Medford. That is nothing the campground could control. However, it would have been nice to get a notification that there was no power. Maybe a mass email could have been sent to let us know. I would have stopped en route to pick up some butane for my portable stove. Other than that, I always enjoy this place.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, private tent sites, great experience

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful even when the power company cut power due to the fires getting too close to the power distribution system. I look forward to staying there again.

Apparently, no fault of the KOA in Crescent City. No Power, No internet, No TV. All due to local fires and a power outage. We were meeting up with family and it became an old-fashioned camping outing. So not all lost. Campground was nice. Lots of new sites going in with new cabins. My site could use some new leveling. Tripped several times on gopher or squirrel holes. Overall, will stay again.

When I got there at 10:00pm there was no power because of a fire in the area. I had no place to go so i needed to stay there. NO power in the cabin which means No heat or lights and they told me I can't not have a fire in the pit, so I couldn't cook anything. And there was No hot water so you couldn't shower. And then when I got my bill there charge me the FULL RATE for No heat dark cabin.

Very nice

the local fire had taken out the electricity and internet in the park as well in the town of Crescent City. It would have been nice to get a heads up txt that was happening. We could have planned for it better. Travel was an overnight travel stop and it difficult to fuel up that night. 1 station was open and cash only. A discount would be nice as we did not get what we paid for

When I arrived, at approximately 5:30 pm, the store was closed. The website says they close at 9 pm. The site I was assigned is NOT COMPLETE. Half gravel, half dirt! The site is more like a tent site. I called the after hours phone and was given instructions to go to a different site. The next day, I had to move again. Maintenance was friendly. I won’t be going back. I left a day early. So sad

Did not have electricity for the night we were there because of the fire that was closed by

Would have been an amazing stay, but the power was out. No hot showers the next am was challenging.

I was very disappointed by this campground. When paying the extra money for a KOA, I expect the bathrooms to be adequate. There was vomit on the floor of the men’s bathroom for 2 days. Very unclean. We were also disappointed that out tent site was not at all level.

Beautiful park and excellent location. Staff is amazing and will go out of their way to assist.Had a great stay

We arrived late in the evening/dark and were a little confused by a note on the door with our spot number and a note stating power was not an option due to wildfires in area. The next morning we wandered around and saw how charming the place was. With the fire in the area, we weren't going to be able to do the things we wanted to so headed toward home so didn't stay the 2nd night we intended.

Clean, quiet. Great Location. Love your tenting/dry camp area. I would return if in that area again.

Recommend? I guess it depends how you feel about plentiful vomit on the floor of the men’s restroom that took them about 4 hours to clean up after I informed them. Sinks had little to no water flow. Site was nice and water/ electric worked fine. We’ll shielded from neighbors.

We had high hopes for this campground. We arrived shortly after 5pm and surprised to see a sign on the door that even though everything published shows open until 8, they closed at 5. The cabin assigned had several maintenance issues that had been going on for some time. Over all seemed run down and would have been better off at a hotel. Did not live up to KOA standards. Staff not very friendly.

We were checked in by the most caring and courteous man and woman. I saw how they treated other campers as well as ourselves. If there were more stars to give, I’d be giving them.

Great location, cabin was very clean, appreciated the small fan. Office closed earlier than indicated, we sourced wood elsewhere. Bathrooms were rough. Ladies did not appear to be cleaned once during our 2 night stay. Men’s had vomit on the floor for 10+ hours and no working sinks. We understand unforeseen circumstances but this was handled poorly. Basic hygienic amenities are why we choose KOA.

Nice campground, but two aspects are not so nice: 1) The office closes too early and 2) the washrooms were not cleaned during our stay of 2 nights.

It was a really nice place and we had a good night. The restrooms in the back were a nightmare. There was vomit at the mens rooms. Also, there was no water. So we used the restroom in the front, which was much better.

It was very disappointing we had to stay in the smallest, and one of only two back in sites in the entire park. Although we paid for full hook ups and were told we would get Wi-Fi. There was no Wi-Fi available, also no cable available. asked the girl at the front desk, she said that’s because you’re too far from the office. Our site was so small our slide touched bushes. No activities, staff ru

Among the redwoods, we found our friends. The KOA hosts helped us select the perfect spot. This beautiful peaceful campground is very clean and quiet, wonderful amenities and, most of all, that special KOA host hospitality. This is a great launching spot for exploring the northern California redwoods.

Tent site was NOT level. There was no level ground to pitch tent. This looked like a new addition to KOA and was under development or was in progress to be completed?

Honestly don't know what people are complaining about. My family loved it. We brought our 3 year old and a small dog and stayed in one of the basic cabins with no bathroom. It was quaint and comfortable and very warm with the heater. We brought our valuables into the cabin and took everything off our roof rack and locked it in the car. No theft, no one bothered us, no loud parties, very quiet and relaxing. Other families with small children. Short office hours but everything was ready for us for our arrival after hours. Bathrooms were clean and operational with hot water. Grounds were beautiful and we loved the goats.

Good overnight cabin stay as our group of 4 motorcycled through the area (Apr. 2024). Appreciated the website reservation process as well as the camp staff preps for our after-hours check-in. Clean facilities & grounds. Other than the electric heater not working, it was great. Yep, we'd stay there again.
