The staff was nice and informative. They arranged the cabins we were staying in as best they could so that we could be closer to one another. They did a good job at keeping the facilities and grounds nice and clean. I also liked the fact they didn't think they need to entertain us, which gives the camp ground a quieter, calmer and relaxing atmosphere.

We stayed at four different KOAs on our trip and this one was the cleanest and most enjoyable. The staff was wonderful, we had some privacy, and there was plenty to do for our kids. Our family voted this one number one!

Cabin was ready for us when we arrived. Staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated that they gave us hot water in the morning. All and all, a pleasant stay.

The front staff was incredibly helpful regarding late check in. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. The issue is really the layout. A neighboring cabin’s campfire smoke had nowhere else to go but onto our porch and picnic table area, driving us inside. I tried the area for sitting outside to the side of the registration area to have a diesel truck idling cause me to move due to the fumes.

Very clean and comfy in our cabin. Kid friendly but it does get quiet early there so if you want to be up late and rowdy this mighty not be the place for you �. Overall excellent and clean place to stay.

We loved our stay at Custer KOA. The camping cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The bathroom, shower, and Cafe amenities made our stay comfortable. Kids loved the playground and jumping pillow. Facilities were clean and well kept. The staff was helpful and friendly and worked with our late check in and early check out. Convenient location for Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Highly recommend!

We rented 4 cabins. 2- 1 room and 2-2 room. If you can afford the 2 room, we all felt it gave a significant amount more room. The breakfast at the office was great and super affordable. The pool was empty during the day which was great for the kids. The showers we clean and the park was nicely laid out. We would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Great place to stay! This was our second time staying at the Custer KOA! Very clean, things for kids to do, friendly staff and very accommodating. Close to Black Hills attractions: Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Rapid City, Spearfish, Hill City and Keystone. Foodies will love the variety of foods available and Craft beer lovers will find favorites in the area.

Cabin was too hot at night. Could not sleep until after midnight. Cabin windows open all night caused morning traffic to wake us up very early. Other KOA in South Dakota has AC. it might help if there was a plug in fan. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told "there's nothing we can do". Other than that nice campground, But probably won't stay again due to sweating while trying to sleep.

The KOA was well-cared-for. The bathrooms were clean and fresh. We were disappointed to find that the amenities such as pool, bounce-pad, and office all closed at 7:30p. I felt this was incredibly early considering a tourist town in the summer. Typically, 9:00pm is early. It would have made our trip an A+ to have had these amenities open a touch longer for our young kiddos enjoy.

Great location! Camping cabin #1 has a nice yard associated with it, which added to my stay. The staff were very nice and the store had useful supplies and some fun things.

Location was great,requests were honored! Secure wifi didn't work which was a bummer. Cabin needs a good vacuum cleaning on edges and corners and a scrub in the corners,very dusty and dirty,not just from having a dog. Front window rubs on swing,move swing toward railing 1" and that should solve it. Bigger fenced in dog run for bigger dogs would be nice too. Bathrooms and laundry were clean.

The campground was all nice and mowed nicely and could hear trimming so you can tell they do it daily. They provide some essentials for rv, tents, and cooking supplies. The staff has a great attitude, and especially the cute brunette working and making the overall mood at the front desk more enjoyable.

The stay was fabulous. We were unfortunately greeted by a gentleman who was rather rude. We were unpacking our cars at the cabin and he came to tell us to move our vehicles. We explained that we were unpacking. He then rudely asked where we were parking. We asked where we should. He told us a location, when we parked there he told us we couldn’t. Other than that every other staff member was grea

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins with a shower and bathroom inside of it and we were very pleasantly surprised with how comfortable this cabin was for all of our needs. We traveled with a 1 year old and it felt just like a mini home. Very clean, nice campground, fun activities for the older kids. Would definitely stay here again!

We are camping in our truck and camper. They are the friendliest staff. Full of information and maps. Campground is very clean and meets the requirements of a KOA. We stay at KOA because I know I can trust them for cleanliness, free clean showers, and helpful and informative staff. I just booked 14 KOA from WA to Great Lakes, MN. So far they've been great.

Very friendly staff. Great location to all things the Black Hills have to offer. Nice amenities. Bathrooms and showers were great. Grounds kept clean. Lots of patio seating at the store. Store cafe available . We stayed 5 nights in the basic camp cabin with no complaints. We will stay here again unless traveling with our pups (which is our norm) since they don't allow dogs in the cabins.
