The staff here were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the text reminder about the freezing temperatures at night and to take precautions. A great and clean facility. I would stay here again and again.

Site very unlevel dog poop in our sites and other sites as well

Staff was very friendly however the sites are small and difficult to back into based on trees or Rocks adjacent to them. Our spot was not level and a long term camping tent shared same electric post as trailer. In addition no privacy as tent was about 10 feet from RV almost like one lot with a tent and RV. Ground was not gravel park pads therefore in wet environment it was just mud and you sink.

Everything was great here except site 171 was so uneven...could not even close to get the coach level...

We really enjoyed our stay, we got to see most all of the National Parks and Monuments in the area took some wonderful hikes, and ate at some awesome restaurants. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the area, if the weather had been just a tiny bit warmer and hadn’t snowed on our last day it would have been perfect. It was still great because the snow was beautiful in its own right.

It was great. My grandsons loved the snow. Loved our spot, hookups easily accessible. Not too many wifi issues. Staff polite and accommodating. We'll be back.

Great! But I did notice the lock on the last shower door was broken for my entire stay.

Love the hiking trails just beneath Mt Elden. The camp sites were a little rustic and cramped but it is close to all you need and lots to do.

It’s been at least two years since last time we stayed because it was kind of run down and seemed like staff did not care. We stayed over spring break this time and were pleased with the change. Staff is helpful and attentive, facility has had a facelift for the better, campsite amenities are clean and new, well kept. A great experience this time, keep it up!

We stayed here to avoid the snow in the outlying campgrounds. The place was clean, reasonably quiet and exactly what we needed. The showers and laundry facilities were great. We cleaned up and were ready to hit the road again.

We had a late arrival, pulled in after hours. Spot 186 was very rough and not a flat enough to get my trailer level. It was very tight pulling into my spot. Between the unlevel lot, and a narrow site. We slept uncomfortable with no space for our slide out, and a slanted ground due to the rutts in the gravel. Other than the actual spot, the park looked great.

Staff was friendly and helpful, campground was nice.

Tired and run down facilities. Over priced, especially for what you get. You pay full price even though the advertised amenities are closed for the season. This is a good example of what a KOA should not be or how a run down KOA can get.

Everything you need for a 1 night or multiple night stay at a reasonable cost. The setting was wonderful in the pines. Our particular site was a little rough but we made due. If I was to say only one negative thing it was the metal fire pits where full of water. We had to search for a dry one to use.

The campground was clean and staff was friendly but I was quite disappointed that a lot of things were closed like the indoor activity center which would have been great for my kids since it was snowing outside.

Unfortunately, we stayed after a snow storm. Very friendly staff - but the grounds and RV sites were muddy / mess. Wifi was minimal (one of the important reasons we tend to use KOA. Excellent location - and close to most Retail options should you need anything. Staff was excellent.

We stayed here for 4 nights while in Flagstaff for a wedding. Unless you're approaching the campground from the north on Highway 89, you'll be making a left turn into the campground at a traffic light with no green arrow and limited long-range visibility of oncoming traffic, so prepare to be patient. The campground is located within a lightly forested area at the base of Elden Mountain. Most of the roads within the campground are one-way roads, marked as such on the campground map but generally not on the roads themselves. Some roads are paved while others are gravel. All of the RV sites have gravel pads, a picnic table, and an elevated charcoal grill. Some sites are equipped with extras such as fire pits, patios, and cable hookups. We arrived about a half-hour after the check-in time of noon. The RVers in the spot originally assigned to us had trouble with their rig and hadn't left yet, so the campground staff quickly found a new spot to put us in within the same section of FHU pull-through sites with cable TV hookups at the north end of the campground. After escorting us to site 168, our guide told us to turn on all the breakers on our power pole (not just the 50 amp one we were going to use), or we might not get power. We did that and had no power issues during our stay, but the pump handle style water spigot at our site would occasionally experience severe drops in water pressure. We eventually figured out that this only happened when the handle was fully engaged in the up position; when we pulled it down a slight bit, the pressure would remain consistent. The sites in this section of the campground are pretty un-level: we had to put two boards under the driver's side tires to get close to level, but a lot of other folks had it much worse, using blocks stacked one to two feet high to get level or using their leveling jacks to lift their front or rear tires several inches off the ground. There are quite a few tall trees in this section, which provide shade but can also complicate maneuvering in and out of sites. We could not have made the left turn out of our site with our large rig: fortunately we were able to exit through the empty site in front of us, otherwise we would have been backing out. This particular KOA currently has no swimming pool, but it has many of the other typical KOA amenities like a jumping pillow, a playground, a store within the office, bathrooms within the office building and another building that also had a laundry room, and large tricycles for rent. There is also a permanent food truck on site that wasn't open yet. The propane refill station is located away from the office on the end of a row of sites, with no real place to park nearby without blocking a road. There is also a dump station along the official "exit" road out of the park, but most folks exit via the entrance road to take advantage of the traffic light There are two adjacent dog parks at the front of the campground with separate entrance gates and mostly dirt and grass surfaces. They receive some light at night but you'll want to take your flashlight with you. Another good option for walking dogs is along the hiking trail that starts at the north end of the park. That segment of trail also connects to longer public hiking trails, including a steep one that goes to the top of Elden Mountain. In terms of cell service, I could not get enough bandwidth on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna to even run a speed test, no matter what time of day it was, so we ended up using the cable hookup to watch TV (the cable picture was pixelated at times but usually watchable if you're not a high-resolution snob) In contrast, the best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 93 Mbps down and 14 up. The campground WiFi clocked in with 7 down and 1 up.

This is our go to place either going east or west on our trips...but we have never seen this place SOLD-OUT. Because of the outlander event nearby. Close for getting to Grand Canyon south, Sedona not that far, and it's a college town too!
