From Scranton and points west: Take Interstate 81 North to Route 6 East, to Route 191 North for 1/2 Mile to Route 670 North 6 Miles to Countryside Lane on left into campground.
From New York/I80/I84/Route 17: Take Interstate 84 West to Exit 30 Route 402 to Route 6, take left onto Route 6 West traveling Approximately 15 miles to downtown Honesdale. At light on North Main Street take right onto Route 191 North/North Main Street, 1/2 mile take left onto Route 670 North 6 miles, take left onto Countryside Lane.
RV campers: Do not follow GPS, stay on the above main roads.

One of the best things to do in the Poconos is to ride the Stourbridge Line — a scenic passenger train that travels along the Lackawaxen River Valley. The Stourbridge Line has a deep history with the Honesdale area. In 1827, the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company began studies to determine if using a steam engine on a gravity railroad would be the most effective way to haul coal from the mines in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, to the canal for transport to New York City.
The first trial run for this new railway took place on August 8, 1829. Only one person was willing to ride the train, and as he boarded, the crowd held their breath in anticipation. The train roared to life and took off down the track before disappearing from view. The car soon came back into sight as it moved backward down the track to signal a new age in commercial transportation.
