Beautiful place,very clean,nice bathrooms! Very nice host and workers!They even have pizza delivery!Great and friendly place for pets! The view of the river is gorgeous and the mountains! I would recommend this to everyone who wants to get away to a nice peaceful place!!�

Loved the location. Staff very friendly. Our teens even talked about how nice the staff were to them. Nice and clean store and bath house. River front site was spacious and shaded. Will definitely be back.

The campground was very tidy and great location. Spotless bathhouses, friendly staff. Maybe it is the region - and the gnats were horrible. Pack bug spray.

Wonderful staff, very pleasant. A bit pricey, and make sure you read the cancellation policy. The owners have a over 9 day extremely high non refundable $250.00 fee for stays 10 days or more which I feel is wrong if you make it a point to cancel well before your planned stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have a $250 nonrefundable deposit for stays of 10 plus nights. We are a small campground and are reserving the site for you for an extended time which means that it is not available for others to plan their trips. Glad we were able to accommodate your date change for your second reservation.

We had a wonderful week at Cherokee NF KOA, very peaceful. We especially enjoyed the sound of the river. What a great base camp for exploring NE Tennessee.

We stayed directly on the river so the surroundings were great. Smaller KOA and ample room between camp sites. Clean bath house but we used our full hookup instead. No pool but you have the river. Location is great for visiting Jonesborough and Johnson City. Staff was extremely friendly. We are definitely going back to this one.

Hola mi nombre es Marino Diaz, estuve 3 dias en este lugar y es maravilloso, a la orilla del rio y lo mas lindo es la atencion del personal siempre atentos a todo momento y es un sitio donde hay mucha tranquilidad y se relaja uno en la noche con el oir el sonido del rio, y ademas Johnson City esta muy cerca asi como los shoppings y se puede uno mover a cualquier sitio , Gadlinberg, Pigeon Forge

We planned for a quick overnight stay but would definitely return for a longer trip. The management was fantastic. After hours check in was so easy and the communication was beyond what we anticipated. The resort was so clean and the kids loved the play area.

Nice campgrounds in general. They need to place a few garbage/ pet cans around the campgrounds. If you walk a dog you will need to car the mess to your campsite or the main dumpsters. No trashcan anywhere.

Sorry for any inconvenience concerning the trash/pet cans. With our park in a National Forest we are limited to how many trash/pet cans we can have around the park due to animal activity in our campground. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you in the fall!

This was a lovely campground. It is located next to a vibrant river. The camp hosts and manager were so kind and accomodating. We definitely enjoyed our short stay (3 nights) at this campground. Next time: we plan to stay longer!

Wi-Fi and cable not great but it's the river that makes you comeback again and again.

We are sorry you had issues with the Wi-Fi and cable. Here are a few troubleshooting ideas for the Wi-Fi 1-restart your device 2-go to your internet settings, click on the (i), forget the network, then re-log-in. For cable call the office we will come check it. We AGREE on the beautiful river!

This is hands down the nicest KOA I've ever been to. There's not a bad spot on the grounds. I was lucky enough to get a spot right on the water. The people who run the place are so nice and helpful The bathrooms are spotless and the showers are nice and warm. I'm definitely coming back. One week is not enough! Oh and the pizza they offer is delicious.

Excellent week of camping & hiking nearby trails. Campground personnel were very friendly & helpful. Would be nice if they picked up trash from campsites like other KOAs do.

Great little place on the river. Very clean and well kept. Would be perfect for a summer stay. Close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There is quite a bit of road noise up front. It’s a small 2 lane road but very busy. Wi-fi was “ok”…we needed it because there was NO signal with T-Mobile. Overall, a good little place with very nice folks.

Last camping trip of the year. Glad I stayed at JONESBOROUGH/CHEROKEE KOA. Beautyful Campground and river. All the camp host and Maintenace people were very friendly. I will come back when it is wormer.

I honestly can't say enough about this campground! Every staff member we encountered was extremely helpful and respectful. Gorgeous campground right on the Nolichucky River with direct and easy river access. Tons of amenities are offered at this location, including pizza delivery to your site, text updates during your stay, and a gift shop. Great location to surrounding areas all within reasonable driving distances, but honestly you won't want to leave! This campground is impeccably clean, staff are always easy to find, and bathhouses are spotless! ***Exceptional Customer Service - We booked a private site on HipCamp months ago to celebrate my birthday and Memorial Day Weekend, only after confirming with owner the details of our rig and that we would be able to access the site. After a 3 hour drive, upon arrival we could not get our 40ft fifth wheel into the site without permanent damage to our camper and tailgate. I reached out to this campground in hopes they could take us, at least for a night until we could make other plans. We passed this KOA on our way in less than a mile from where we supposed to stay. Ronda said come on for the night and that will give you time to figure something out for the weekend. I booked the one night and got settled in the site she had available. Within 1 hour Ronda came to our site to tell us not only did she get us in a spot for the night, she got us a spot there for the entire duration of our original trip. This woman went above and beyond and made our trip possible, and we had the most peaceful and relaxing weekend. Ronda, you and your staff are top notch, thank you so very much for a wonderful stay at a gorgeous location. You are appreciated more than you know!

This is a great off the beaten path RV park, very impressive and beautiful scenery, nicely positioned spaces and beautiful views of the river! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the store is nicely laid out with a reasonable amount of gifts and needs! I will definitely stay here again, and probably much longer next time to enjoy all the park and area have to offer! Thanks to the staff and ownership for making this a great place to stay!

Right on the Nolichucky River! Kind, compassionate, and friendly management! Loved the sounds of the river. Such a beautiful spot! I stayed in my RV, but there were very cute cabins on site as well. The facilities were super clean! Pizza and firewood available on site. Great for a mountain getaway in Jonesborough, or an easy drive to Johnson City, Bristol, Asheville, Cherokee, etc.
