The grounds are beautiful and the scenery is amazing. It is pretty far from a grocery store and not much food for sale in the store. Could use some more amenities. We stayed in April and the kayaks were closed down and the volleyball was flooded. My kids only did the pedal bikes. They would have loved a Gaga ball pit or basketball court. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean.

After staying here regularly over the last three years. Our most recent visit was by far the worst experience we’ve had. New management has changed the overall feel. Definitely a turn in the wrong direction!

From the very kind Lisa in the Welcome Center to the staff we met on the grounds, we enjoyed all of our interactions with personnel. The campground was very clean and beautifully situated on the Currituck Sound. We rented a Waterview cabin and were totally satisfied with the cleanliness and layout. We will definitely be coming back.

Always a good time, and so grateful to have the support on First Responder Weekend. It’s always appreciated to be able to bring my family and have such a good time because of KOA. Beautiful water front spots with absolutely everything that we needed to have a fun weekend.

We had a good time at the First Responders weekend. The weather was lousy but the staff made up for it with activities and live music. Thanks again

We came down for First Responders weekend. Although the weather wasn’t the best we thoroughly enjoyed the campground and the staff. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

We were seasonals at the KOA for 3 summers and one winter. It is a beautiful piece of property and we made lifelong friends while there. Unfortunately this past year was disappointing compared to our previous years there. The entertainment was very minimal, there was no Seasonal parties as stated in the signed contract, and overall the moral amongst staff lacked towards camping families.

The corporate decision making is kind of ridiculous especially the way that the locals are treated but lost us for Life as a customer

It was a little bare bones for thanksgiving weekend. The staff was nice and gave us his personal firewood. Probably a nice place the warmer months for swimming and kayaking.

This was our first stay in a camping cottage after selling our fifth wheel a year or two ago. We really like being able to still have the campground experience. The cottage was very nice and had a great view. It was an accessible unit and was quite comfortable except for the bed requiring one person to crawl in from the bottom.

The site is spacious and enjoyable. I have an issue with the charging of $9.99 amenities for each night! Yes, it's fall, it's the last week that this KOA is open. The camp store was not open M-W. The Wifi is almost non existent, there is no pool! I haven't seen a bathhouse/restrooms (most campgrounds have). The rates have gone up expenionally. What are the amenities that you do have? Lock fee??

Long term stay. The koa had everything I needed. The camp store was stocked with necessary items for both fun and functional.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving so their store was rarely open, no ice or wood available. The sites are nice, especially the waterfront sites when the wind is not blowing! The only downside to this park is it is 40 plus minutes to the beach areas such as Duck, Nags Head, etc.

Booked it because it is a smaller campground. Just wish the campstore was open for whole stay.

We really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was our second visit this year and we couldn’t have been happier both times. We really like the cabins.

Management is manipulative, unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Beautiful campground, nice sites and amenities, be prepared for a narrow road to get to the campground, go slow and you will be fine, for beautiful sunrises and quiet surroundings, this is your place. Office staff and maintenance team are wonderful

We had a relaxing time this past weekend. Staff are friendly as ever, despite the season coming to a close. One of our favorite campsite to visit.

We enjoyed our weekend stay. We've camped in the (rental) campers and this time we rented a cabin (WF43). The cabin was very nice except for a few maintenance issues which we relayed to the office upon check-out. For cabins that sleep 6, recommend a 4-slice toaster rather than the 2-slice that was there. We look forward to next year when we plan to add another day to our weekend get-away.

This campground never disappoints! It's our favorite location and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The sunsets are magical!

Outstanding location! Really nice, friendly staff!

This is one of my favorite places to stay. The staff is super nice and helpful and I love the grounds. I will Say there was a lot of trash around the dumpsters and also there was a lot of Halloween decorations that had not been cleaned up in the woods. Not normal for this campground.

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.

Very well kept resort! The spaces are gravel and level and plenty of space between spots. Lots of things for kids to do. Bathrooms were super clean and tended to throughout the day. Our space had a really nice seating area overlooking the water. We were only there a few days to spend time at Outer Banks, so that is a journey. We would've stayed closer, had we realized. The speed signs are no joke…from the KOA where there's only one way in and out (the police were waiting to ticket a little outside the entrance) and all through the Outer Banks. We saw so many people pulled over (including us). Just pay attention because the speed changes fairly often.
