Awesome ovy. Only 2 bathrooms were open not good

We stayed for a week at the end of October. The campground was winding down for the year with limited store hours. We enjoyed the shuttle to Morris Farms. The sites are very close together, but we were lucky to get site WV47, which had a little more room. It is a slow drive into the KOA, but the location on the sound is worth it, even with the midges!

the only reason it did not get a 5 star is they need a swimming pool & hot tub We really enjoyed our stay the staff was very friendly and it was terrific riding the golf cart trails with the grandkids we told them it was our parade train. We had a family group of 24, 3 cabins & 5 campsites. I had reserved the large campsite and we all gathered at my site for meals & campfire. We will be back!!

Love the water view sites that allow you to view the beautiful sunrises. Will definitely be back again.

Best koa around!! The area is beautiful, great for fishing and sunsets. Staff are super friendly and laid back. Facilities are well maintained and clean. Looking forward to coming back again in the spring.

Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating! The weather turned nasty gusty & we lost a tent - the staff offered us a cabin at a discount. Between the sunrise, our 5th wheel location right on the sound & the full moon - well it made it a memorable time. Only suggestion we have is build another outhouse/ shower building closer to Campsites - the current one is pretty far for us old folks

Bugs were an issue as they (corporaete) have removed all the screens from the cabins rather than finding a workable yet less expensive solution

It’s a beautiful park and sunrise over the sound was breathtaking. Everyone was extremely nice. A big thank you to our site escort he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to take a walk along the water, the trail was easy and well maintained. We didn’t do the entire nature trail but we will on our next visit.

What happened to the ice machine that used to be outside the camp store? It seems it was replaced with a dog washing station. We checked out on a Monday and the camp store was closed. So, we didn’t have any access to purchase ice.

I was expecting a very restful stay with beautiful views and sunsets. I was not disappointed. People were friendly and helpful. The site was clean and level. My one suggestion would be to keep the store open every weekday for an hour or two. I know that this is off season, but campground is not close to any stores and if you need something you need to travel 30 minutes. Fun on the water for all

We loved our trip. Wonderful location. Golf carts drive a bit too fast (employees included). Many of the arcade games didn't work. Camp store was great!

We took a long weekend down to this campground that my brother informed us on! It was an absolutely amazing place. All staff was very friendly and sociable! Campground was well maintained and manicured as well! We had a wonderful time during our visit and are looking to plan another trip here in the future!

Pretty good, but the removal of the screens on the porch was a surprise. The mosquito like bugs were so thick they covered the inside windows. We lured them into the bathroom and smashed as many as we could. Also had a bit of a problem with the Sand Spurs at the dog park. You would think that would be one place that an attempt to clear them out would happen.

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.

Very well kept resort! The spaces are gravel and level and plenty of space between spots. Lots of things for kids to do. Bathrooms were super clean and tended to throughout the day. Our space had a really nice seating area overlooking the water. We were only there a few days to spend time at Outer Banks, so that is a journey. We would've stayed closer, had we realized. The speed signs are no joke…from the KOA where there's only one way in and out (the police were waiting to ticket a little outside the entrance) and all through the Outer Banks. We saw so many people pulled over (including us). Just pay attention because the speed changes fairly often.
