Was not a good weather week for us. That was our only downfall. Weather not related to campground. The wind was pretty rough for 6 out of our 7 days. The campground was nice and quiet. The laundry was nice. The camp store was nice.

It was our first camping trip and everyone was very helpful. The site is well kept and just beautiful. We will definitely tell our friends about it!

Our stay at the Currituck Sound KOA was very nice. We rented a waterview cabin, which had beautiful views, was clean & spacious. We brought our Red Heeler, Chewie, with us and he enjoyed his walks plus meeting other folks and pups in the dog park. We went to the ocean at Kitty Hawk, took the ferry to Knotts Island, & visited My Brother's Keeper, a lovely thrift store north on Rt. 158.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were all exceptionally nice! We weathered tropical storm Ophelia there. Staff communication was excellent. They checked on everyone to make sure all were okay. We’ll be back!

We had a great stay despite Tropical Storm Ophelia. The KOA Staff was very friendly. They made sure to keep an eye out on everyone during the storm. The facilities were very clean and the camp store was very well stocked. We will be back.

We love it there this weekend been nice if the weather had been good but we stayed anyway between the staff letting us change where to stay and getting a golf cart. We would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay there. Already been telling ours friends about your campground.

Started off amazing until Ophelia came knocking. Staff was very helpful, empathetic and refunded our last two days due to the weather. I will be back for sure. I will for ever be grateful to the staff at OBX KOA. See you again.

The staff was attentive and helpful. When we arrived, we were escorted by golf cart to our space. This site has so much natural beauty and is well maintained.

Very friendly staff, clean facilities. The grounds were neat an up kept nicely. They had a live band, Black Pearl, there the weekend we stayed (Sept 8-10) which was really nice. Overall highly recommend and would return.

Quick weekend getaway with friends. Great check-in experience and nice site. We love this campground but the prices are too high. Many other, less expensive options all along the OBX.

We were traveling from PA and planned to stay in Virginia Beach for Saturday night, weather changed our plans. We had reservations for this campground for Sunday We decided to call to see if we could arrive on Saturday instead, Angie went above and beyond to move us to accommodate us!! Lady at office check in was friendly and worker in camp store were also friendly. We will return! Thank you all!

We enjoyed the pig roast on Saturday night. The food was excellent, the live music not so much. It seems that the type of music was not suited to the audience. Many people left early. The staff was responsive and the facilities were wonderful.

The staff was really nice. There were several spots open around us so they let us pick one. Ours ended up being the best one, but they were accommodating. The bathrooms were clean, air conditioned and very spacious. Definitely get bug spray against midges, but due to the wind, that can cut their annoyance. All in all, the bugs were minimal. The weather, view and location was amazing.

We rented one of the cottages. So clean and equipped with all one would need to cook. Loved watching the sunrise and walking to the docks to see the sunsets. The staff were so friendly and welcomed us with a smile each time we saw them

Pros: The staff was great.. the Campground is well maintain & clean. The waterfront site was great. Cons: this location was far from anything to do (if you just want to hide away, you are good).. final issue was the bugs, I believe called midges(?); they were ridiculously heavy. We realize bugs are part of camping, swams are not ok. **I have photos to show this is not an exhageration!

Sites were good size. No shade, no swimming area, no pool. Appears to be a lot of seasonal campers. We had trouble with our A/C after 2 days there and the temperature was in the mid to high 90s and asked if we could get a refund of our final day there as we had to leave and get it repaired and they said "No, just be thankful that you only have a hundred dollar site and not 2 hundred."

KOA Currituck is a great resort campground. The grounds were very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front office was especially helpful with our special needs son. She offered to move us to a new location so we had more space. Lots of amenities. Dog park was extremely clean. Only complaint was power went off a few times and cable connection did not work.

We absolutely love staying at the Currituck KOA! They recently upgraded their cabins with nicer beds and pillows and even added more sharing outlets and shelves. It's our favorite place to stay!

This is our favorite KOA! We got engaged this trip by the pond - making this location even more special to us :) the campground is so beautiful and always a great time. The staff is so sweet and helpful. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate more!

Very cute place. Unfortunately the previous guest left an old coffee filter with used grounds in the coffeemaker and the entire place was covered in fruit flies. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay.

Very nice scenery and clean campground. I was disappointed there was no pool (even though their map shows a kiddie pool). My particular site had issues with the electricity during the very hot week there. They tested the electrical pole but said it was working fine. After 3 different days of my electricity shutting off periodically, they allowed me to move to another site and no issue there.

Very beautiful here, lots were nice size, everyone friendly. We did have our electric go out one day but in few minutes everything was back up and running. Will definitely return for future visit.

Comparable to other KOA, our cabin is so well spaced that privacy still exist. Very clean and well kept grounds. Quiet time was honored.

this is my favorite KOA, for sure. I really enjoyed how close we were to the water. they had complimentary kayaking and a boat that takes you to Corolla. kayaking was very fun, but they didn't have a captain for the boat, so we couldn't do that. other than that, SO FUN!

Fantastic waterside camping. Very peaceful. Dedicated swimming docks are separate from fishing docks, they have kayaks to use for free, a pedal cart track for kids, golf cart rentals, a neat waterfront walking/riding path, clean bathhouse, cafe and store, and small arcade.

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.
