Checkin line was pretty long during the holiday weekend. Pool was unexpectedly closed for about an hour due to a maintenance issue and there was no announcement or sign letting people know. Overall lodging was as expected but had less kitchen tools in it than other KOAs we’ve stayed in- no tongs, bbq supplies, salad bowls, large cutting board, etc.

The showers were less than clean and do not drain. Imagine showering in a giant puddle 2-3 inches thick. It made what was a wonderful stay last year a bit challenging this year. Showers are pretty important. Last year was clean and functional. This year was not functional and made our three day stay a lot less enjoyable. There are a lot of free roaming dogs & dog waste In the campsite.

Stayed with my family and had a blast at the petting zoo, the pillow top jumper was a hit- along with the big playground. Pool was busy for memorial weekend but we were able to find a spot to set up our chairs and enjoy ourselves! Bathrooms were clean and showers were warm. We will be camping again!

I really appreciated the improvements to the bocce court w the new balls and fewer gopher holes. If someone could weed it and resurface it, that would make it a much better playing experience. The rest of the KOA was great incl pool, bouncy mat, pavilion and cabins. Thank you :)

The cabin was really nice and clean. Many of my family and friends rented cabins / tents to attend my son's USCG retirement ceremony held at Station Golden Gate, so it was like a family reunion of sorts. We had a really great time; the children had the pool to swim in as well as a playground and other areas age-appropriate and us adults got to sit around the fire pits and chit-chat.

We came with a school camping trip and had a blast. Bathrooms were nicely maintained and relatively clean compared with other campsites, so keep up the good work! Friendly staff and amenities to keep kids busy. The downside is the price for cabin and two night minimum stay. Overall was nice and would come back for a staycation.

I brought a school group for a two night stay and had an incredible time. The facility is kid friendly with lots of outdoor activities to keep them busy. The staff was friendly and very helpful; they often checked-in with us to make sure our needs were being met. I have been bringing our fifth grade class here for 25 years and plan to keep bringing them for years to come.

This is a jewel for a friendly no-stress camping experience, especially for visitors like me who don't have the skills or equipment for traditionally rugged camping. The facilities were clean and updated like a true resort should be. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My visit was a much-needed respite. Thanks to all.

We had around 73 people altogether representing two different classrooms from Hooker Oak school. The communication throughout this entire reservation process was excellent. facilities were great and we were so thankful to have access to the kitchen and the common areas as well. Recommend an outdoor wall clock of some kind-Also, a better water source would be nice such as a refillable H2o system

What an incredible experience KOA San Francisco North / Petaluma provided for our middle school students. From the ease of coordinating the event, to the cleanliness of the overall facility, to the obvious attention of upkeep with the large playground, jumping pillow and coop area to the comfort of the lodges to the friendliness and accommodating staff - this teacher gives you an A+

We loved the campground but our cabin over powered our stay with an intense smell of a skunk! We almost left after the first night but decided to stick it out one more night. We loved the cabin but the skunk smell was sickingly strong!

The kids in our group were very disappointed to learn that jumping pillow/bike rentals were taken out by winter storms and resort was in "winter mode" so no rockwall or heated pool and scaled down petting farm (3 goats). None of this was disclosed on the website. Exterior cabin outlet didn't work and pot was misshapen so the lid didn't fit. Employees were friendly though!

Petaluma is a fine place for a short staycation if you’re local. We stayed during February when unfortunately we couldn’t take full advantage of the amenities. Firewood delivery was out of season which we weren’t told until 90 minutes later. It would be great if the website posted the seasonal dates! Some things our deluxe cabin with the loft were missing: a grill brush, tongs and a can open

Great stay with the family ! They should separate the sand from the basketball court. It makes the basketball slippery and dangerous. They should put money into a new basketball court actually. They should also make the cabin lights dimmers. Simply switch the bulbs to dimmer bulbs and swap the light switch out for a dimmer switch. Also upgrade the Rec center and add curtains in the showers.

It is a beautiful and peaceful place. It is comfortable. The showers and bathrooms are really cleaned, and the personal there are very kind.

We had a fantastic time, and the cabin with the patio was awesome. He shared lawn and patio area with the other cabins was great as we mingle and visited with the other campers. I would give this place five star rating based on Mike alone. he was working on one of the cabins and came over to say hi and then brought us an umbrella for a patio table within minutes. We will definitely be returning

Lodge was nice and very clean. Pool was disappointingly cold, no one used it. Grounds were nice. A restaurant or snack hut or ice cream shop would’ve been a nice addition.

There were not many amenities to use during the rain. It's the 2nd time I've been to this KOA and the train sign was up and marketed on the website but when I asked for the schedule they said the train is not in service...and has not been for 5 years. You should remove it from your marketing materials. The petting farm was also not really a petty farm if I can't actually pet the animals.

We had a short but great stay in one of your cabins. My only little complaint is I wish the world have had heater in the cabin. Other than that it was great.

We stayed in a cabin. We were there with a group that had a mix of RV sites and cabins. They are in the process of really updating their RV sites. Some have paved patios with firepits and green grass between. I have to say that it is the nicest place we have ever stayed at and we camp a lot. They have a great selection for any type of camper.

Very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Not sure why they need a coded gate. We never could remember the password and our campsite did not have a place to dump. It was very quiet and not much to do around there so we went into the city.

The campground is nice but be aware that if you need to do laundry there, you are forced to sign up for an app on your phone in order to use their machines that do not accept credit cards or coins. My husband and I have traveled all over the country and this is the first time we have encountered this. We didn't want to have to acquired an unwanted app on our phones and the instructions for acquiring it aren't easy. So we had to haul our laundry to a local laundromat and as we were leaving we saw other guests taking their laundry back after they left too. I complained nicely to a staff member who didn't seem to care. Having said that the campground is nice, surrounded by pine trees and redwoods. It's real advantage is being near the ferry boats going over to San Francisco. Be aware, while there is a local train going to the ferry, where it lets you off is three quarters to a mile walk to the ferry. In rain it would be very unpleasant and no one tells you how far the walk is. It is better to drive your car to the ferry and pay the $2 on the digital parking meter. We took the train once and drove three other times. Other than that, the campground is in a nice setting and near wine country too.

We went for a wine country weekend. It's the perfect location. Right between Sonoma and Santa Rosa. We stayed in a lodge. It was very nice. The pool was great. It was fun to see everyone having so much fun. The customer service was very friendly. I will go back.

We booked last minute and we're totally happy with our first KOA experience. The office staff and groundskeepers are out of this world friendly. My husband and I were traveling without the kiddo or the dogs, but if you have young kids with you, this is the place to stay! SO MANY kids and they're all running around playing and riding bikes/scooters. If little kid laughter bugs you, then be advised. There's a dog park, a petting zoo and the office has beer, wine 😉 and souvenirs. My only comment would be that laundry is not available 24/7 - only until 6 pm (even though it's behind closed doors) and that quiet hours last until 8 am (would've preferred 7 am since we had our motorcycle).
