Newberry KOAOpen May 18 - October 11 The Newberry KOA Resort Kampground, located in the heart of Michigan's beautiful Eastern Upper Peninsula features over 100 large, shaded sites with water and electricity at each one. You'll enjoy the convenience of our recently renovated facility and family atmosphere, with our all new staff and Management. Our pool building is equipped with a spacious, heated in-door pool and a jacuzzi bath. Enjoy mini-golf, rent our pedal carts, play video games, visit our gift shop, kamp-store, or have a hand dipped ice cream. Plus you can enjoy a famous U.P. Pastie. The complete laundry facility, restrooms, and showers will make your stay even more pleasant. OPEN 24 HOURS. Our fun loving staff, will be there to help you with all of your needs. There is always something to do at the Newberry KOA. You can start your weekend mornings with our sausage and pancake breakfast, orange juice and coffee. Then the choice is yours from the many games and activities that our staff provides. Don't forget your fishing poles, because our area has some of the best fishing in the state. Our KOA's central location allows you to take in many of the Upper Peninsula's natural attractions. We're only fifteen minutes from the famous boat trips to Tahquamenon Falls or you can drive to the Falls in 30 Minutes. You may choose to visit one of the oldest cities in our country, Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and visit the renowned Soo Locks, Casino's and lots of other attractions while there (which is also only about an hour away). Across the International Bridge into Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, you might be interested in the foreign city and it's unique Agawa Canyon Train Tour. Munising's inspiring Picture Rocks, Seney National Wildlife Refuge and a bear habitat, and Lake Superior's beautiful Sand Dunes, are also nearby to the Kampground. No trip to our area would be complete without touring the mighty Two-Hearted River made famous by Ernest Hemingway. Finally, Mackinaw Island and the straits area, is only a short drive and offers fun and excitement for the whole family. Continue north on Michigan 123 through Moran and Trout Lake. 11 miles after Trout Lake turn left on Michigan 28.
