Sonnenberg Gardens

Sonnenberg was the summer home of Frederick Ferris and Mary Clark Thompson. A legacy of an era of wealth and elegance, the estate was sold to the Federal government by Mrs. Thompson's heir in 1930. In 1973, it was deeded to Sonnenberg Gardens, a not-for-profit corporation formed to restore the gardens and mansion to their former glory. At Sonnenberg Gardens you may stroll on your own, take a guided tour or come to enjoy one of the many events hosted throughout the year. There is also a wine tasting room. 585-394-4922.
