Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay KOAMeet Your Host After 22 years of managing campgrounds and working in the industry, Sally Phillips joined the KOA Company Owned Properties Manager training program in November of 2004. She trained for three months in Okeechobee, Florida. Then she became General Manager of the Niagara Falls New York KOA in February of 2005 and stayed through October of 2005. "Even though I loved NY, it was a long way from family and friends on the West Coast. When the Santa Cruz property was offered to me as my next new challenge, I was extremely excited about the move" says Sally. In 2007, Sally was honored with the prestigious Company Owned Property Manager of the Year. Sally believes in the KOA theme of "Great People" "Great Camping" and in working towards taking KOA to the next level of "Good to Great!". Sally prides herself in delivering a high level of customer service, and meeting or exceeding guest's expectations. She trains the staff to be fun, friendly, and helpful. She wants all guests to have a truly memorable family camping experience. First impressions of the campgrounds appearance, facility, and amenities are vitally important. New and exciting campground highlights include the development of an area that is being used for new recreational items; including a spectacular playground, the KOA Jumping Pillow, KOA Express Fun Train, treadwall, mechanical surfboard, mechanical bull, mini golf, banana bikes, horseshoes, movies, bingo, and video arcade. Youth programs and activities are offered all summer long. "Guests will be able to participate in several activities in one location," says Sally, "including food and refreshments".
