Monarch Butterfly Migration. Visit Pismo Beach for this annual event. The event actually starts in November and continues for four months into February.

March 7-16, 2008:
San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. Between 50-70 films are screened during this annual event. Special events are also offered during the film festival.

April 13, 2008:
MS Walk. The San Luis Obispo MS Walk is the longest running and largest walk in the country. This is a free event and participation raises awareness for the effects of multiple sclerosis.
April 19, 2008:
Earth Day Food and Wine Festival: Live entertainment, food, and wine from local Central Coast wineries committed to earth friendly practices. Cost is $75 general admission, $35 for designated driver admission.
April 25, 2008:
California Mid State Fair Concert and Show tickets go on sale.
April 25-27, 2008:
Strawberry Festival and Space Fair. Indulge yourself with delicious fresh, local grown strawberries. The fair was expanded to also include a Space Fair featuring student science projects, a parade, and concerts!

May 16-18, 2008:
Paso Robles Wine Festival. More than 90 wineries participate in this annual event held in the downtown city park.

June 7, 2008:
Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival. Visit Santa Barbara for the largest dog parade in the country. Over 16,000 spectators attend the Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival. Enjoy booths, activities, music, food, and celebrity guests!

July 23-August 3, 2008:
California Mid State Fair. This annual event starts at the end of July and continues for 12 days. Concerts, 4-H shows, contests, petting zoo, and the food make this an unforgettable event! If you are in the area, this is a must see.
July 24, 2008:
Toby Keith Concert at the California Midstate Fair. Tickets go on sale April 25th.
July 27, 2008:
Alan Jackson Concert at the California Midstate Fair. Tickets go on sale April 25th.

Country Rodeo Finals with Sawyer Brown at the California Mid State Fair. Tickets go on sale April 25th.
