Campground is well maintained, with a friendly staff. Definitely will stay there again in the future.
The location is fantastic for day trips on the motorcycles! We are from Canada traveling through 7 states staying at KOA cabins to be able to get out of the heat after riding all day. Note- this campground does not have air conditioning in their cabins like other KOAs but the river right outside our door was a good shady place to cool off. Cabin 4 bed frame has some issues; very wobbly.
The cabin we stayed was very clean and had lawn chairs near a river that made relaxing easy. After spending five days hiking in the Rockies, I was able to sit on a rock and put my feet in the water.
Loved it. They do a great job of keeping the place clean. We have done lots of camping and this was probably the best.
Just a beautiful place and the office help was very nice.

Very friendly staff! My family and I felt very welcome almost as if we were regulars even though this was our very first KOA experience. The staff were very friendly and the area was clean.we loved the daily trash pickup. The only negatives were the bad firewood (wouldn’t burn, smoked us out) and the absence of hand soap for 5 days in the ladies restroom.

My friends liked this locate for their first time. They never knew about bathroom and shower are very clean! Thank you!
The park was clean and the owners were friendly. We were able to check in early. We had a spot next to the fenced in dog park. The park had a playground and outdoor games for anyone to play. We had a nice stay and would visit again if we’re in the area.
Great staff., clean facilities, just felt like camp sites were to close together.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The site was level and there were shade trees. It is close to a main road so there was some traffic noise. Overall good and we would stay there again.

Very easy registration and check in. The campground was very clean and it was quiet and peaceful at night. I will keep this campground on my go to list when traveling to Denver.
It was one of the greatest places I have stayed, because of the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. My grandson was there to visit me and the pool was clean and great, the park and play place kept him engaged for hours. Overall it was great!
The camp ground was very nice. Bathrooms were one of the BEST I’ve ever seen in a KOA. HOWEVER, I wouldn’t ever recommend tent camping. They have the tent sites right by the interstate. No bathroom close to the tent sites, well they do, but it’s for wagon stayers only. That’s not ok. I had to pee behind my tent because I wouldn’t have ever made it all the way to the bathrooms across the

I’m only wanting to park my trailer in a modestly priced spot and rest, I’m tired. So I paid $79. Did not partake in the amenities . If you have children they will love it here.

Everything was amazing and all staff was considerate and kind
The campground staff is very courteous and the facilities and grounds are well maintained; however, be prepared to be up close to your neighbors. Spaces are tight! If making reservations, be careful to observe posted length restrictions, and do not expect to remain hitched overnight as tow vehicles must typically park separately. All that being said, would we stay here again, absolutely!
Stayed in a deluxe cabin like we do yearly for the wine fest. The toilet wouldn’t flush; Greg kindly came twice to get water running. Only way to flush was removing the tank lid, which worked half the time. Greg and Ann were wonderful—this was not their fault. But 3 women, including a pregnant guest and elderly guest, trekking downhill at night was frustrating after paying for in-cabin ameniti

Nice place but lack of grass between sites and in common areas was disappointing. Very dusty.
Quick overnight stay. It rained and a nearby campsite flooded, ankle deep water around their camper. My site was ok, but with no grass around the site, everything had mud on it when I put it away. ( power cord, water hose muddy)
Awesome facility but could use more attention cleaning.
Really unfortunate the sites had nothung but weeds snd dirt. Doesn't look anything like pictures. The entrance should be widened and the sign more visible. But great activities for kids there is a lot forr them to do.
When we arrived hot tub was as cold as could be, it remained that way our whole stay. When I nicely told the gentleman at the front desk when checking out, he replies very rudely. Did you call us ? Well no I didn't, I felt like saying did you check the site before guest arrive. Like really who wants a maintenance worker, working on something while your trying to relax. Very disappointed $500

Great location easy to get around.
One of the cleanest nieces RV camp areas I’ve stayed at. Staff is super friendly and helpful the store they have there has any basic necessity you need but they’re also less than the 15 minute drive to the grocery store or Walmart or a good store. They have a swimming pool cleaned a hot tub that’s nice in for adults. Only only issue that is that they close at 8 o’clock at night.
Beautiful campground. Only complaints is the abundance amount of dog poop that they previous campers left.
Nice campground and staff was very pleasant. Our grandson enjoyed the pool almost everyday and the splashpad was fun as well. Campground was clean and well maintained although I would question the use of metal table and chairs in a place that gets direct high mountain sun (very hot and mostly unusable).
Forgot the key to the rig & front called the onsite locksmith. Brett arrived, opened the door with ease and yahoo!! we were in. Such kindness from a stranger, friendly helpful and just a wonderful person. (esp since he has a newborn... sleep deprived and fires around could've been stressed and crabby, but nope, not at all thanks to him and all staff-totally advise staying here AWESOME! THANKS!

This was probably the best KOA we’ve ever stayed at. Campground was very clean and sites are well spaced. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and constantly busy making everything look nice. We will definitely be back. Grand Lake is a beautiful town with easy access to RMNP.

Well-maintained, it’s a kid’s ( or a kid at heart) paradise. Roaming donkeys, ponies, goats who love your pats and your carrots. Spacious, grassy, tree-filled grounds with lots of pet centric areas. Nice store for essentials and ice cream. What’s not to like? Well, sometimes there’s donkey poop, but it’s quickly scooped away by attentive managers. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

We all loved the animals and wide grassy spots. We’ll definitely be back!
When to take a shower and only one of the three had hot water.

Charming clean and quiet. Loved the pool
It is nice KOA with interesting old train cars that are being restored. They have a restored caboose that is available to stay in. I would not stay there again because I had to change my plans due to my wife’s being ill and I made a mistake by rebooking my reservation on line and then when I called to cancel the original reservation they would not consider a refund so I paid double for my reserv
It was fine. We stayed one evening and left that morning. The pool had a slide which is nice. Sites had shade. Small camp ground but we didn’t mind.
It was great. Loved how clean and well kept it was. I was a bit disappointed in the dog park. Not much grass and what was there was about 15” tall. The campsite was level and partly shaded. Quiet and walking distance to Walmart was nice. The caboose train car cabins looked cute.
Wonderful staff, great accommodations, fantastic location, relaxing environment! Understand the current short staffing but, somewhat frustrating that I had repetitive delay getting ice from the office when all hands were out doing necessary work and the office was closed.

Site were spacious and all was in working order.
Have been staying here for a few years. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Sites are nice long pull thrus. Park is kept up very well.
This park appears to still be under construction. Our power didn’t work and we were told (after we’d already unhooked the RV) that we could move to another site. It was dark when we returned and we made the decision to leave after we went to the trouble to hook back up. The site should’ve been checked before arrival, not after we reported the issue. We would like a refund.

Unfortunately we were only there for an overnight but the park was very well maintained and the pool on such a hot evening looked very inviting. Sites were level and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

Tent sites seem to be an afterthought, pretty much a big parking lot area with a table and a section of fence, the toilet paper was terrible, it reminded me of the bathroom hand drying paper towels, the pool was closed, not because of a repair, someone took their eye of the ball and let the water get out of test specs, the bathrooms were great, newly remodeled and clean
We were grateful for a place to do laundry, cook, and cool off in the pool!

Beautiful location in the San Juan mountains! Staff was friendly and helpful. The Deluxe Cabin we stayed in was really nice! My wife is already talking about when she wants to go back again.

I was so impressed with how many people working there and how they worked hard at keeping the place immaculate. One thing I was disappointed in was that there was not a good place to walk the dogs in the section across the irrigation ditch. I had to walk them by the road when I didn’t want to make the walk all the way across the park to the dog yard. Otherwise, the park was great!
Great facility, great staff, great leadership (Jeff). Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Every staff member was friendly and accommodating. Communication for outages (electricity, ice, etc) was on time and thorough. Definitely noticed the continued grounds improvements this year too. Couldn’t ask for more. The staff at this KOA was exceptional, professional and friendly. The facility was very clean and was one of the best KOA that we have stayed at.
Love this campground and we had one of the best sites since we have dogs! Our large enclosed patio site was perfect. Would highly recommend this rv park.

Well maintained grounds, nice sized sites but the trees need trimming. The tree on our site was mashed against our slide and roof. Next time I’d ask for a site without a tree. The campground is Dog friendly with a large dog park and walking path.

This is probably the WORST KOA we've been to. The pool closed at 6 which is ridiculous, laundry was $7.00 for 1 load, all the activity stuff gets locked up when the office closes at 5, so you can't play mini golf, disc golf, basketball. It gets a little cooler so pool would be great also. You have to pay for the mini golf where as other koa' it just comes with your stay. We will NEVER stay again!
Overnight stop to see Bishops Castle. The site and accommodations was perfect.

Outside of some noisy neighbors, the stay was great. I loved the dog pens at our site, it would be nice if more campgrounds had them. The entire campground was clean and the staff are very nice.

Love the location, the river, having a pool & mini golf. The grounds are looking worn (pool, golf) and could use some TLC/updating. Grass needs cut by river. Also, when driving around and telling everyone to come do an activity (e.g., tie-dye), it would be helpful to tell them there is a cost (e.g., you have to buy the t-shirts to tie-dye). We stay every summer and will be back next summer again!
The staff were helpful and kind. However, I was not happy that I was charged $5/day per dog for my stay. I feel like the cost to stay here sufficiently covered my dogs. This KOA was more expensive than others I stayed at. The dog enclosure was extremely small, which was also a disappointment. Nice campground if you have kids though.
Excellent as always! The staff is SO kind!! Just a random comment about the tall weeds in front of river by the cabins blocked the river view quite a bit. If it’s to regrow vegetation/conservation then that is awesome. If it’s not for that reason, then I would want to see that trimmed a bit as it did block the river view.
