Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

Coal/steam powered narrow gauge train that chugs through the scenic wilderness of the San Juan National Forest from Durango to Silverton. All aboard for an 1882 adventure on the Silverton train. Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park, located just 43 miles from the KOA , is the site of the largest concentration of Anasazi Cliff Dwellings in the United States. Mesa Verde, a World Heritage Site, offers one of the finest architectural examples of the early resourceful people - huge cities have been protected from the centuries within high cliff alcoves.
