Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOAMeet Your Host Ever since John Schwemler, manager of the Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA Kampground, was 12 years old and worked as a Dickee Dee ice cream boy at a campground, he's been ready to have fun! "My goals are simple: just have fun and meet great people doing it. Camping is a great way to enjoy time as a family and with friends. That's why I want to make every effort I can to always improve our facilities and activities. We have a clean, camper-friendly park all ready for campers' enjoyment." Since his ice cream-selling days, John has worked hard and gained experience in maintenance, reservations, sales and management. He previously managed the Myrtle Beach KOA, he worked at a Sarasota, Florida resort, owned his own auto dealership and managed successful companies for ExxonMobile and Engine Lab. Being the Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA Kampground manager allows John to be involved in the things he enjoys the most: spending time with his wife, Michelle, and three young children, the 'terrors,' Taylor, J.D. and Baylee.
