While Lee is now retired, Wendy enjoys the challenge of campground management and interaction with campers from all walks of life. "Managing a Company Owned Property for KOA is rewarding because I believe in the business mission, 'Great People, Great Camping'", says Wendy. Wendy makes sure her guests feel like they are coming home. "Every guest should feel like we were expecting them and we have prepared for their visit". She has pride in the campground and cares about her campers. The part of the campground that gives Wendy the most pride is the 9-Hole par 34 Golf Course! The golf course and Shanty Lounge sets the resort apart from other resort campgrounds, along with the state of the art Fitness Center, crystal clear swimming pools, spa, tennis courts, and boat and golf cart rentals. There is definitely a country club atmosphere in all the offered amenities. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys playing golf. "What could be better than walking out your door, jumping in your golf cart and teeing off, without ever leaving the campground", she says. Okeechobee KOA is an award winning resort. Wendy proudly displays President's Awards for Excellence in Facilities and Guest Satisfaction for each year she has managed the resort.
