Bainbridge / Flint River KOAMeet Your Hosts As the new owners of Bainbridge/Flint River KOA, David & Sheila are thrilled to be living in southern Georgia fulfilling our dream of owning a campground! David has been associated with campgrounds for many, many years. He has seen all aspects of campgrounds, from the construction, to permitting, to managing, including helping construct two large parks in eastern North Carolina and assisted in managing them after their completion. With their youthfulness and knowledge of campground management at your disposal, Sheila and David promise you that you will thoroughly enjoy your stay! They chose to buy this park out of the hundreds they looked at for various reasons. The biggest reason was the age of the park. It is brand spanking new!! All of the facilities are clean and state of the art. Another reason this park stood out to them was the design of the site layout. The lots are very large and satisfy campers that like pull-thru's or back-in's. Because of this, the campground can accommodate the largest of RV units; no unit is too large or will have difficulty getting through the park. Sheila and David enjoy using many of the abundant amenities here at Flint River KOA. There is nothing we enjoy more than spending a day on the river! Whether it is fishing, swimming with the dog, or just sunbathing on the beach-like sandbars of the Flint River, they are happy! Many afternoons they have walked the nature trails located at the Earl May Boat Basin, solving our personal and business problems - it seems like nature always helps increase one's mental being. They were avid hunters before they decided to make the move to Georgia, and they look forward to taking advantage of the long deer seasons offered by the state. Also, it is David’s understanding that ducks and turkey are plentiful around Bainbridge; they can't wait to get out into God's country and try their luck! Sheila plays a crucial role helping manage the campground. She is a people person and loves to help those in need. Sheila is a nationally certified massage therapist, relieving people of body aches and lending an open ear for any emotional problems or concerns. Sheila has over eight years experience of massage/bodywork therapy. She is certified in the state of Georgia. Some of the types of massage offered are swedish massage, medical massage, deep tissue, hot stone, and pregnancy massage. Also, Sheila is a staff member of Memorial Hospital and Manor in the rehabilitation department as a massage therapist. They invite you to come by and tour the park.
