Historic Lecompton - Territorial Capitol of Kansas

Originally called “Bald Eagle,” historic Lecompton is nestled in the rolling hills about half way between Topeka and Lawrence on the banks of the Kaw River. It is an interesting and unique little village to visit. Visit Constitution Hall, a National Landmark, as well as the Lane University Museum, and the Windsor Hotel, presently the United Methodist Church.

Harry S. Truman Library and Museum

The Harry S. Truman Library and Museum preserved and makes available to the public historical materials donated to the Nation by President Truman and many of his associates. Objects of historical and artistic interest in the Museum depict the career of Harry S. Truman and the history of the United States from 1945 to 1953 when Truman was President.

Agricultural Hall of Fame, Bonner Springs

The United States Senate and House of Representatives of the 86th Congress on August 31, 1960 enacted the Official Charter creating the Agricultural Hall of Fame and National Center, making the Hall the exclusive institution for honoring farmers past and present who have made Americans the best-fed people of all time.
