The Capital City / Topeka KOA is the newest KOA in Kansas, and the top rated campground in the Topeka area. All of our sites are full service with free WiFi internet access. Our KOA is located on the south edge of Topeka, just 10 minutes from downtown and close to all the area attractions.
New amenities for 2009 include a monster-sized playground and a refurbished 1947 Farmall tractor and hay wagon for rides around the campground and through several acres of native tall grass.
The main building is a restored turn-of-the-century barn with a general store, recreation hall, exercise area, restroom, laundry and shower. We can host your group/club functions in the climate-controlled meeting area with kitchen and conference room.
No RV? No problem! We have three choices in rental units: our bunkhouse sleeps 6 (great for families). It is equipped with a refrigerator, outside patio grill and covered picnic area; our cabin sleeps 4 and has an outside firering; our travel trailer sleeps six and is self contained (an excellent way to try out the RV lifestyle).
Our amenities include three fishing ponds, a swim beach with floating dock, a new playground, horseshoes, volleyball, game room, an exercise room, and Kamp K-9 for your pet. All this, plus historical sites and area attractions! If you're looking for a family friendly camping experence, come join us at the Capital City/ Topeka KOA! We'll be happy to see you and make you feel welcome.
