Due to the significant damage to the New Orleans East KOA during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, this campground is presently not operating as a KOA Kampground. However, the campground is open for business with temporary laundry, store and office facilities, which are being replaced as the campground rebuilds. A free shuttle from the campground to the French Quarter is available. Also enjoy the new dog run and giant checkers and chess. Please check www.koa.com for additional information. New Orleans East KOA regrets any inconvenience this may cause and hopes you will stay tuned for information on the grand reopening when the new building is complete.
