Opening Weekend

Join us as we welcome the start of another great season at the Oscoda KOA. Pay for Friday night and get Saturday night free with an advanced reservation!

May 8-10
Mother's Day/Come Kamp and Care with Us Weekend

Help us raise money for KOA Kids Care Camps (benefiting kids with cancer). All of our proceeds this weekend will go directly to KOA Care Camps. Make an advanced reservation for Friday night and stay free Saturday night. Celebrate Mom with a crafty gift. Mom gets a free pancake breakfast with a paid child.

International Day of Families & 4th Annual Tawas Point Birding Festival

Let's celebrate your family this weekend! Bring your family camping and pay for one event, get the second one free (i.e. buy one jumping pillow wrist band get second band free, buy one bike rental get second bike rental free, etc.) Share your best family camping story with us and win a free night stay at the Oscoda KOA. (Some rules and regulations will apply. A free night certificate will be issued to one family winner good for one year from the issue date, not for use on the current weekend. Stories can be typed or hand written and submitted between Friday May 15th & Saturday May 16th at 2 p.m. Must be camping at Oscoda KOA this weekend in order to win.)

4th Annual Tawas Point Birding Festival

Join Michigan Audubon for a weekend of birding in East Tawas, Michigan! Tawas Point and the surrounding area provide some of the best spring migration birding in the Great Lakes region. 164 species of birds were recorded during the 2008 festival, including a Kirtland’s warbler in migration! Tawas Point provides a first stop as warblers migrate over Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay providing a great opportunity to see a wide variety of Parulidae along with shorebirds. Bring a Friend Weekend

Have you camped at the Oscoda KOA before? If you have, and you bring another family who has not camped with us before, you will both receive a free bundle of fire wood (one bundle given per site). We appreciate our return guests and our new guests!

2nd Anniversary Weekend/School's Out and the Rob Mills Band is in!

Join in the fun as we celebrate the end of school and our 2nd anniversary as new owners. Join us in welcoming the Rob Mills Band! Rob and his family bring fun and terrific talent with great music your whole family can enjoy. They are sure to be a favorite this weekend. Candy hunt, pancake breakfast ($), cake and ice cream social ($), hay ride ($) and fire truck rides too. Lots of fun for everyone! Father's Day Weekend (4th Annual Red, White and Blue Festival Downtown)

Let's honor dad with a chili cook off! Bring us your favorite chili in a crock pot and let us be the judge. This is a special event where we will be raising funds for the KOA Kids Care Camps. It will be $5 to enter your chili pot and $2 to be a taste tester. Everyone can participate and taste testers can vote for their favorite. The voted winner will get a prize! All cook off funds raised will go to the KOA Kids Care Camps for children with cancer. Dad's get a free pancake breakfast with a paid child. Kids make a craft for dad. Enjoy the downtown festivities during the Red, White and Blue Festival. Last year's chili cook off winners were Darrell and Joanne Carvey, and they're gonna be tough to beat!

Movies Under the Stars - Downtown Oscoda every Sunday at dusk

Beach Party Hawaii Weekend and 26th Annual Art on the Beach - Downtown Oscoda

Bring your grass skirts and join in the fun. Lets hula and limbo! Enjoy our ice cream social ($) Hawaiian style. Aloha!

Art on the Beach runs Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Over 150 Artisans display and sell their handmade arts, crafts, and hobbies on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron, at Oscoda Beach Park in Downtown Oscoda.

Stars and Stripes 4-Ever 4th of July Weekend (3 night minimum)

Happy Birthday America! Honor her with red, white and blue site decorations and win a prize for the best decorated site. Kids decorate your bikes in red, white and blue and show off your work in our first annual bike parade. Enjoy the fireworks near downtown Oscoda. Candy hunt, hay rides ($), fire truck rides, pancake breakfasts ($) and more!

NASCAR Weekend and Curley Memorial Canoe Race

Attention all race fans! Race on over to the Oscoda KOA for a fun filled weekend with your family and friends. Decorate your site or fly your flag and show support for your favorite driver.

The Curley Memorial Canoe Race is an MCRA sanctioned race memorializing local canoe legends, Harry, Jerry, & Kevin Curley. For more information on the canoe race call Gary Oil at (989) 739-9231.

Christmas in July

Who can wait for December? It's Christmas at the Oscoda KOA! Bring your decorations and deck out your Kamper or Kabin and win a prize for the best decorated site. Join us for a candy cane hunt and for cookie decorating at craft time. Wear your Santa hats and get a free hay ride ticket- caroling on the hay ride is optional!

Rob Mills Band Weekend- Back By Popular Demand! AND MSU VS. U of M Weekend

We've convinced Rob Mills and his family to come back and play for us! What a great family weekend it will be. Full of music and talent, he and his family bring great fun when they are here! The Rob Mills Band will play a short variety on Friday evening and then a concert on Saturday afternoon. Bring your lawn chairs and get ready to have a great time.

We will also have our MSU vs. U of M weekend. What are your true colors? Wear your college sweatshirts, sing your fight songs, and decorate your site- prize goes to the best decorated site. Last year's site winner was MSU. Can State come back and win again this year? Or will U of M take home the prize? You decide.

Who Let the Dogs Out?

This weekend has gone to the dogs! Dress your dog in his or her best costume and join the pooch prance! All pooches prancing have a chance to win our 1st annual costume contest. Leash them up and bring them to our bone hunt. Bring your pooch to the ice cream social ($) and let them have a dish, dog bone topping will be available! They're sure to think it's GRRRRREAT!

Wet and Wild Water Weekend

Get set to get wet! Bring your SUPER soakers and water guns or buy them in the store. Water balloon toss, slip and slide and water games on the jumping pillow. A soaker of a good time!

Marshmallow Mayhem

We're going wild for marshmallows this weekend. Marshmallow spoon races, marshmallow eating contest, marshmallow sundaes, and more. Bring your marshmallow shooters and have a marshmallow shoot out (just don't eat the marshmallows on the ground, YUCK!)
