Freeborn County Historical Museum and Village

Enjoy a journey into yesteryear. The Museum is open year-round Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Museum and Village are open May through September, Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends 1 to 5 p.m. The Museum is closed on Mondays and holidays. Mower County Historical Village

Located at the Mower County Fairgrounds. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission fee charged (children under 12 free). Some exhibits include Rural Life Museum, Log Cabin Museum, Caboose, Depot, Frieman’s Museum, Hormel Museum, Windmill, and much much more!

J.C. Hormel Nature Center

Hours for the interpretative building are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. The trail hours are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Petting Farm

The Petting Farm offers a hands-on approach for children and families to interact with over 65 barnyard and exotic animals. Each child is given a small cup of oats to feed the animals. Mustard Seed Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful farm that offers a wonderful get-away to the country. Also enjoy the walking trail around the pasture and garden areas. Summer hours are June, July and August (weekends only) 1 to 4 p.m. There is an admission fee. Each Sunday in May is “Baby Animal Sunday” 1 to 5 p.m. (no admission fee charged at this time). Beginning September 21, weekdays 3 to 6 p.m., and weekends noon to 6 p.m. enjoy “Pumpkins and Petting Farm.”

Story Lady Doll and Toy Museum
