Explorers Lewis and Clark portaged the great falls of the Missouri River here as they trekked west. But they might never have left if they could have camped at the Great Falls KOA, a lush oasis of trees, flowers and vegetable gardens. Hedges provide privacy for campsites. Slides are the centerpiece of the fun water playground. Wake up to a daily full breakfast menu that includes cracked-wheat flapjacks, omelets and locally made chokecherry syrups and jams. Summer evenings, enjoy featured KOA Kampertainment or listen to the River Town Rounders play bluegrass and recite cowpoke poetry. Warm up in the morning with a cup of coffee or cool down in the evening with a hand-dipped cone from KOA's new ice cream parlor. Visit the nearby Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center. Stop by the C.M. Russell Museum and view the works of this famed Western artist.
