Meet Your Hosts

Marty and Ralph Bogle welcome campers to a park-like setting, and love to listen and share stories with their guests. The Bogle's have owned the Fayetteville KOA since fall of 2003.

They chose to make a career change, which matched their interests and experience as campers. And indeed, they have many experiences to relate, having spent the previous six years on a full-time RV adventure.

Prior to their RV travels, Marty was a nurse and administrator in an outpatient surgical center, and Ralph was a documentation services manager for an electronics instrumentation design manufacturer. They've been busy making many improvements at the KOA, where close to 75% of the guests are returning campers, Marty said. "We have some who have been here so often that they practically have their own site," she joked.

They love to treat campers as their guests, she said. Bailey, their Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, is the campground greeter, she noted, and campers love him.

The campground was previously a farm, she said, so there are ample trees, including black walnuts and pecans, along with plum trees and grapes. They've set up a showcase area to display the old farm machinery. The office is decorated with a farm scene that includes farm furniture, trunks and memorabilia they discovered. A walking path through the woods, along with ponds that hold good-sized fish create a welcome setting for guests, Marty noted, and the campsites are very large and level.

They also have a huge, fenced-in pet playground, complete with a fire hydrant for city dogs and trees for the country dogs, free disposable bags and rocking chairs for the owners, who can visit while they let their dogs run and play.
