Some of New England's most beautiful natural attractions are within striking distance of the Woodstock KOA. The White Mountains, one of America's premier vacation playgrounds, include the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. The Byway is a showstopper- especially in autumn months- when the surrounding foliage is a blazing palette of color that contrasts with the mountain pines. The 34-mile "Kanc" rises almost 3,000 feet, with scenic pull-offs, hiking trails with waterfalls and swimming holes. At the road's end, visit several outlet shops. Mount Washington Cog Railway, roads and hiking trails enable you to be at the top of the tallest peak in the East. Other area treats include Clark's Trading Post, Santa's Village, Story Land, Glacial Caves, horseback riding, alpine slides and a water park. Ask your KOA host about moose tours and canoe, kayak and bicycle rentals.
