Unique volcanic views and a peaceful desert setting are only two experiences you would find when visiting Keith and Suzanne Waite's campground. The decision to purchase their KOA campground came in July of 2003 as the couple parted ways with their careers in the hospitality and design businesses. The couple was looking forward to a change of lifestyle. "We enjoyed past jobs at campgrounds," Suzanne stated. They recalled great camping experiences and wanted others to have the same good times and memories.

Keith and Suzanne are pleased with the location and character of the campground and feel the local recreation, paired with a friendly atmosphere, provides opportunities for fun and adventure for their campers. Their customer service allows the best camping in the area.

"The Grants area in western New Mexico is one of the last undiscovered recreational areas in the country" said Keith. "There is more here than many people know." In one day, campers can hike ancient Acoma foot trails and then relax in the comfort of the cool evening back at the KOA. "We have a unique high desert setting," said Suzanne. Their motto to travelers and weekend campers is, "The KOA On Your Way In The West."

In their free time, Keith and Suzanne enjoy hiking, cooking and pets.
