2009 Special Theme Weekends

In addition to our special theme weekends, the Newburgh/New York City North KOA is pleased to offer many daily activities including: arts & crafts, hay rides, fire truck rides, movies, games, group campfires, and so much more. All activities are subject to chance without prior notice

March 27-29: Welcome Back Weekend

Welcome Back Campers! Celebrate our season opening with activities and fun for the whole family.

April 10-12: Easter Celebration Weekend

Enjoy all the fun of Easter in a special way. There will be an egg hunt and even a visit from the Easter Bunny.

May 1-3: Cinco de Mayo Weekend

Spice it up and enjoy the weekend as we celebrate with a Mexican-inspired games and activities.

May 8-10: Come Camping and Care with Us/ Mother's Day Weekend

Come camp for a cause. Pay for Friday night and Saturday is FREE. Special Events will benefit KOA Cancer Care Camps, including our big auction. Proceeds will go toward this special group. Also honor Mom for her all her hard work and show your appreciation.

May 22-25: Memorial Day Weekend

Kick off summer the right way with a campfire and some favorite traditions.

May 29-31: Fishing Derby Weekend

Gather at the KOA fishing pond for a weekend of favorite fishing memories and maybe catch a fish too.

June 5-7: Family Game Night Weekend

Remember those board games you use to play around the kitchen table? Dust off those game skills and see how you can do.

June 12-14: Flashback Weekend

Sock hops, disco balls, and even parachute pants. No matter what your generation this weekend is for you.

June 19-21: Father's Day Weekend

Our salute to Dads includes entertainment for all ages. Come see what we have in store.

June 26-28: Beach Party Weekend

Sand and Surf. Join us for a high-energy pool party tons of games and excitement.

July 3-5: Independence Day Weekend

Show your patriotism at our All American party weekend. All will enjoy live music and family fun.

July 10-12: Chocolate Madness Weekend

You asked for it again! Slide down our chocolate slip-n-slide and see what other creative ways we can use chocolate for fun and games.

July 17-19: KOA's Got Talent Weekend

You've seen the shows, now is your chance to join us in campground wide Karaoke or bring your own skill to share.

July 24-26: Christmas in July Weekend

Why wait until December? Dig out those Christmas decorations and enjoy the Holidays at the KOA. Maybe even a visit from Santa.

July 31-August 2: Fairy Tale Weekend

Once upon a time there was a magical celebration. Meet our fanciful characters and enjoy childhood excitement.

August 7-9: Super Fan Weekend

Show your team spirit with a jersey, face paint, or team colors. Enjoy sports excitement all weekend.

August 14-16: Carnival Spectacular Weekend

Enjoy all your favorite carnival games. Ring toss and bean bags are just a few of the classics you'll find.

August 21-23: Fear Factor Weekend

Is fear a factor for you? Challenges with ooze and goop will make you think twice.

August 28-30: Rock Out Video Game Weekend

Find your inner Rock Star as you rock out on the big inflatable theater with the latest games. Gather the family and make a band.

September 4-7: Labor Day Weekend

One of the biggest camping weekends of the year, come out for a weekend of fun filled games and activities.

September 18-20: Murder Mystery Weekend

"Who done it?" Enjoy our performers as they unravel the details and you become the detective.

September 25-27: Leaf Peepers Weekend

The leaves are starting to turn, be the first to take in the beautiful colors of the Hudson Valley. Explore the beauty on our nature trail.

October 2-4: Fall Harvest Weekend

Apples anyone? Let the crisp air of the fall season be your guide. Visit local orchards and bring the family back for a warm campfire.

October 9-12: Columbus Day Weekend

The Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria are the inspiration for the weekend's events. Bring your sea legs and see what we've got planned.

October 16-18: Haunted Halloween Fest

Come out to trick or treat, trade campfire Halloween stories, or try your hand at pumpkin painting. Visit the Haunted House if you dare.

October 23-25: Haunted Halloween Fest

Spooktacular! More Halloween activities to enjoy: The haystack scramble, costume contest, and of course the ultra scary Haunted House.

October 30- November 1: Haunted Halloween Fest
