Shake out those sleeping bags and dust out those campers just in time to enjoy mother nature as she blooms over your campfire. April brings our off season rates as we are opening the campground and finishing our complete remodel in the men's and women's bathrooms at the store. They will even have hair dryers and flat screen TVs in them! These will be state-of-the-art bathrooms and all appointments will be brand new. On the weekends, enjoy haywagon and fire truck rides and movies on Friday nights as weather permits. Starting on Memorial Day weekend, breakfast will be cooking on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Also, you have spoken and we listened. The jumping pillow will be FREE for all kids 17 and under all the time. Kids and parents, LISTEN, all kids 17 and under will also get one free cart ride and one free game of golf per campground stay. One requirement, wristbands must be worn by all kids who use these activities. Any visiting kid pays the regular price. You have to be camping to get the free stuff!
Easter
April 10-11
Easter falls in April this year and we will be having a traditional Easter egg hunt on Saturday afternoon. As weather permits, we will also have the fire truck rides, too. Come on out for a fun time!
Wine and Cheese Party
May 1-2
Back by popular demand! All our seasonal adult family members, employees, and all the adults in the campground are invited for a wine tasting and cheese party on Saturday night. Saturday afternoon will be activities for the kids, plus the firetruck and haywagon rides and movie night on Friday night.

Yes, with advance reservations, enjoy a FREE night of camping on May 9th, no kidding! In order to get Saturday, May 8th free, you pay for Friday night at the regular rate. In other words, stay 2 nights for the price of one. Of course we will give you 10% off with a Value Card. Free ice cream social Friday night and movie. New this year is a cruise in from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. with root beer floats, popcorn, coffee and door prizes ($). Free pancake breakfast Saturday morning. On Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a Chinese Auction, so bring things that are new, homemade or slightly used. Ice cream social ($) on Saturday. There will be music (DJ) on Saturday night with a scavenger hunt. Free breakfast for all Mother's on Sunday morning as long as the kids eat too, so take Mom to breakfast at KOA! Donations to KOA Care Camps is appreciated. These donations help kids with cancer go to summer camp. This is what this weekend is about - HELPING KIDS WITH CANCER! Call early for your reservation because the campground will fill up. What a Deal!

On Friday night we will have fire truck rides and a movie. Saturday afternoon will be white elephant bingo and candy bar bingo, so bring things that are new, homemade or slightly used and also candy bars. Also on Saturday there will be an ice cream social. Saturday evening will be a private KOA gathering.
Memorial Day Weekend
May 22-24
Our 7th Annual Kids Dog Show and Parade. Kids bring Fido or Fifi and show off their new tricks or cute costumes. Prizes awarded. This is all in fun, no serious competition. Our DJ will be there Sunday conducting the scavenger hunt. Enjoy the ice cream social ($), fire truck and haywagon rides and movie on Friday night. New this year is a cruise in from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with root beer floats, coffee, popcorn, and door prizes. Come out and see the pretty, shiny antique cars. Breakfast will be served on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. Fun for all!
Construction Weekend
May 29-30
Back by popular demand! Kids, enjoy building it, shoveling it and dumping it! If you have any outside construction toys, feel free to bring them. There will be games and activities in the sandbox. There will be a movie on Friday night and an ice cream social and fire truck rides on Saturday. Lots of construction planned for the kids!
Western Weekend
June 5-6
Back by popular demand! Calling all cowgirls and cowboys out there! Come join in the fun of everything western this weekend---from horse making to horse roping, barrel racing and a parade behind the tractor. Fire truck rides and movie on Friday night. Ice cream social and fire truck rides on Saturday. Bring your cowboy hat and spurs and c'mon down to Buckeye Lake KOA.
Jungle Adventure Weekend
June 12-13
New this year! Kids, join us as we take a jungle adventure. Learn about different jungle animals and their habits. Win prizes with correctly answered questions after our tour "Through the Jungle". Mask making, too. Friday night will be our cruise in with root beer floats, popcorn, coffee and door prizes ($). Also, fire truck rides and a movie. Come for a great jungle adventure!
50's Weekend and Car Show
June 19 - 20
Come dressed like the 50's, bobby socks, slicked back hair, t-shirts and enjoy games, a real antique car show located at Buckeye Lake KOA,(beautiful cars and trucks). Also, 50's music plays Saturday night at the car show. Enjoy fire truck rides, hay wagon rides, and root beer floats ($). Also, kids will paint something special for Dad for Father's Day. Participate in the watermelon seed spitting contest, watermelon eating contest and other 50's games.
Beach Weekend - New this year!
June 26-27
Everything dealing with water, so be prepared! All the kids activities will be around the pool or water related on the jumping pillow.
White elephant bingo will happen on Saturday afternoon, so bring prizes for that. Also, join in karaoke and DJ music with Frank Golisano at Sonic Sounds from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Celebrate 4th of July
July 2-5
The Buckeye Lake annual fireworks will be on the night of July 3rd. On July 4th after breakfast at 11:00 a.m. we will have our first work session on kids building a pinewood derby car to race. Adults will be there to handle any sawing and sanding. You can buy your pine car from us for $5.00. The next session will be on Sunday, July 5th at 1:00 p.m. Then Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. will be the great race on our computerized track, so kids, don't miss this fun experience. Trophies will be awarded. This is for boys and girls. Parents, you can come observe and suggest, but the kids must build their own car. Everyone had a blast last year! Bike decorating and parade will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m. will be the ice cream social. At 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Roy Case, who has been a Boy Scout for several years and has earned several awards one being the Silver Beaver Award, is presenting a U.S. Flag retiring ceremony. If anyone would like to help in the ceremony, see Sher or Shirley. Also, if you have any U.S. flags that are in bad condition and need retiring, bring them. Something different this year, we will be featuring a pork loin roast with sides cooked by Rick Casterline at 6:00 p.m. To reserve your meal you must pay for a dinner ticket when you make your reservation. Limited tickets will be available. Site decorating contest, DJ, and scavenger hunt will be Saturday night. Kids, bring your bikes for our decorating contest and parade. Bring your decorations for the site, Kabin, or Lodge decorating contest. Prizes will be awarded. Randy Swihart, our DJ, will be here and will conduct the scavenger hunt. Hay wagon and fire truck rides. Ice cream social ($).
Native American Weekend
July 10-11
Come celebrate the first Americans. Sample native dishes, enjoy crafts, storytelling and dance demonstrations. The Venture Crew Scouts will be our guests giving us the activities for Saturday. New on Friday night this year will be a cruise in with door prizes, root beer floats, popcorn and DJ music from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. Movie on Friday night and ice cream social ($) on Saturday and fire truck rides, too.
Hawaiian Weekend
July 17-18
Pack your grass skirt and join us for some island fun KOA style. Make flower leis, enter the pineapple eating contest, or have fun with the coconut toss. White Elephant Bingo on Saturday afternoon, so bring handmade, new, or slightly used things for prizes. Hay wagon and fire truck rides. Ice cream social ($).
Pirate Weekend
July 24-25
Ahoy mates, join us for a treasure hunt and games. Try not to "walk the plank". Peg leg race and pass the sword on the jumping pillow. Hay wagon and fire truck rides. Ice cream social ($). Frank Golisano with Sonic Sounds will do Karaoke and DJ music from 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Super Soaker Weekend - Back by popular demand!
July 31 - August 1
Be prepared to get wet! Bring your big soaker water guns or buy them in the store. Look for the yellow shirts! Water games on the jumping pillow. Enjoy the wagon and fire truck ride while getting wet and wetting everyone else. The Buckeye Lake Fire Department will be on hand to give you some fire prevention tips and their water hose in the activity field. Randy, the DJ, will be here Saturday night! Fire truck rides and ice cream social ($).
Mopar Weekend
August 7-8
Shine up those classic cars just in time for MOPAR Weekend. Ice cream social ($), hay wagon and fire truck rides. Kids and Dads, try racing pinewood derby cars on our own track. We will have the cars for you to purchase ($5.00) and fix yourself. Begin Friday night and race Saturday night. Make your reservations early, everyone had a blast last year! Trophies will be awarded! Breakfast will be served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday a.m. ($).
Chocolate Lovers Weekend
August 14-15
Kids, slip n' slide in chocolate (make sure you wear your swimsuits), candy bar bingo, sample cake, strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels in the chocolate fountain ($), and chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Hay wagon and fire truck rides. Chocolate ice cream social ($). Cruise in on Friday night complete with door prizes, popcorn, root beer floats ($). Come look at those beautiful antique cars and listen to the DJ music! Also, on Saturday night listen to karaoke and DJ music by Frank with Sonic Sounds from 7:30 p.m. till 10:30 p.m.
Field Day - New this year!
August 28-29
Kids enjoy field day. All types of games are played in our activity field on Saturday afternoon. Also, on Friday night 6-9 p.m. is our cruise in with root beer floats, popcorn, door prizes ($) and DJ music while you enjoy looking at those antique cars. Ice cream social ($) and fire truck rides, too.
"KOA Kids Day" Labor Day Weekend
September 4-6
Saturday will be bingo (2 cards for $1.00), 50/50 and cake walks. Door prize tickets ($) to win a bicycle donated by Walmart. The football game will be on TV in the big pavilion, but you need to make at least a $2.00 donation to KOA Care Camps to watch it! Bring items for a Chinese auction for Sunday afternoon. Homemade items are the best! All proceeds go to KOA Care Camps for kids with cancer. Come and participate for a good cause! Randy, the DJ, will be here Saturday night. Fire truck rides. Ice cream social ($). Breakfast will be served on Saturday, Sunday and Monday a.m. ($).
RCD/KOA Customer Appreciation Rally

Anyone that has purchased an RV from RCD Sales in Heath, Ohio is invited to participate, one price for camping, all meals, seminars, ice cream social, door prizes, and entertainment for the whole weekend. Look for your invitation in the mail.
Soup and Chilli Cook-Off

Because we have had so much participation in past years, we are making 2 weekends in October our monster ball weekend so no one will miss out. The same thing will happen this weekend and the weekend of October 16-17. Site decorating contest, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, haunted barn with creepy wagon ride ($). Randy the DJ will be here so you can dance until the moon is full!
