Time-honored traditions thrive here in Amish Country. In Berlin, about 40 miles east, savor country-style Amish meals and shop for hand-stitched quilts and other crafts. This KOA, with woods and rolling hills, is close to state parks and a forest preserve. "Escape" to the Mansfield Reformatory, where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed. Enjoy the Mohican area for canoeing. Horseback riding is available near the campground. KOA's many theme weekends keep things lively with water balloon softball, a sexy knees contest and fishing derbies. There's always the fishing pond, on-site walking trails, heated pool, sand volleyball, bike rentals, kids' crafts and Saturday night movies to keep you entertained. You may feel as if you've stepped back in time when you buy penny candy at the campground store!
