Atmosphere and Location

Barrie KOA with its spectacular views and fire red sunsets from any vantage point is the "Shangri-La" of camping in the heart of Canada. Being "Nestled in the country," yet close to all activity is an added bonus. We endeavour to treat all of our guests as we would those in our homes and, because of the "personal" touch, we tend to see the same guests time and again.

Ideal Location for Gatherings

With the addition of our new sites, plus our new recreation hall facilities, our Barrie KOA is ideal for both small and large gatherings. We now have the facilities to accommodate indoor cooking and preparation, plus a comfortable meeting area for everything from your opening "wine and cheese" to "progressive card games" and general meetings. Campground Extras

Laundromat, clean, private washrooms and showers, groceries, ice, sundries and camp supplies, gift shop, video arcade, horseshoe pits, volleyball net (sand - beach style), spring-fed pond (great for model boats), fax service and message centre.

Adult Section - Cedarwood Country Patio Sites @ Barrie KOA

Over 56 sites, offering the finest in luxury RV camping. Pull through and back-in sites are available in several distinctively different designs complete with large reinforced concrete patios, picnic table, patio light, 30-50 AMP electrical service, sewer and water, and telephone hook-up. This adult camping section is situated around our 1.5 acre pond which hosts a myriad of wildlife. Enjoy the recreation hall, complete with full kitchen, big screen TV, internet, and first class restroom facilities including all the necessary equipment for physically challenged guests. Early reservations recommended.

Bando’s @ KOA

Bando's Pizza here at Barrie KOA has gained a reputation of producing the finest pizza, made with fresh ingredients, baked in our stone oven and delivered piping hot to your site. This year we have expanded the menu! Our camping friends who return early each year usually start their first conversation with these questions: "Are the pools ready?" and "Is the pizza parlour open?"! Did you know that it takes an average of 50 licks to polish off a single-scoop ice cream cone. Challenge your family to a "Lick-a-Thon" with a cone from our ice cream parlour and see who finishes first!

Few things in life are as magnificent as a spectacular sunset. Bringing the corners of our world together, a sunset is nature's remarkable way of closing each day. The setting sun with its changing colours, deepening hues and awe-inspiring wonder, leaves us in its afterglow to ponder the day's activities and anticipate the opportunities of tomorrow.

Kabins & Kottages

Kamping Kabin
A standard throughout KOA, we have a total of twelve one-room kabins and three two-room kabins and have added new landscaping to include patio-type front complete with porch swing, screen doors and combination grille/fire ring. All kabins are located close to our main restroom facilities.

Kamping Kottages
Now in Canada! Enjoy the same comforts of a cozy cabin with an added feature of a full restroom with a shower. We feature two standard Kottages that sleep four people and includes a futon that folds down into a double bed and a set of bunks. Each unit comes complete with a kitchen table and chairs, a bar fridge and microwave and air conditioning. As with the Kamping Kabins, our Kottages come with a picnic table, porch swings and fire ring/grille combination. You still need to bring your own bedding and cooking utensils. We take care of the sunsets!

Gift and Souvenir Boutique

Displayed in our general store area we offer treasures to attract all ages with a variety of crafted gifts, shirts, sweats, hats and jackets. All have been carefully selected and are displayed in a unique and attractive setting.
