Hershey Chocolate Factory

Guided tours take you through the manufacturing process of your favorite treat, don't try and sneak a taste on the way, there are free samples at the end of the tour if your fingers are still clean. The free sample awaits you only 45 minutes away from the Campground.

Sandbanks Provincial Park

Giant sand dunes and golden beaches form two of the largest freshwater baymouth sandbars in the world. Go and relax on the beach, build sandcastles with the kids or just enjoy the view. It is only 45 minutes away from the Campground and well worth the drive. We recommend the scenic route along Lake Ontario (Loyalist Parkway), and on the way stop at "Lake on the Mountain".

Lake on the Mountain

It is curious that this lake has a constant flow of fresh water with no apparent source, 60 meters (200 ft) above Lake Ontario. Mohawks offered gifts to its spirits and settlers thought it was bottomless. Come for the magnificent view over Lake Ontario.

Shopping in Westport

The town of Westport is nestled in the heartland of the Rideau Lakes, about 45 minutes north of the Campground. A variety of unique shops invite you to browse for all sorts of antiques, art-works, crafts, jewelry and clothing.
