Thousand Islands Playhouse Presents: The Summer of my Amazing Luck - June 4 - July 11

Summer of My Amazing Luck adapted by Chris Craddock, from the novel by Miriam Toews. Two single mothers live in a Winnipeg housing project. When her mother was murdered, Lucy ‘didn’t grieve properly,’ and tried to fill her emptiness with go-nowhere relationships, which ended in a pregnancy with no dad in sight. Now Lucy and her infant son Dill are trying to survive in the welfare system. Her best friend Lish is pining for a street performer who stole her heart (and her wallet.) On impulse they set out on a road trip in a borrowed, beat-up old van, full of toys and kids. Please call 613.382.7020 or go to www.1000islandsplayhouse.com for more information.
