Covered bridges

Only 54 of the original 300 remain and the largest collection of these is in Linn County. The purpose of the covered bridges was to protect the wooden trusses from the weather. Attend the Oregon Covered Bridge Festival - a unique event for the whole family (September 16 - 17, 2006)

Tyee Wine Cellars

Visit Tyee Wine Cellars on the historic and scenic Buchanan Family Century Farm, featuring winemaker Barney Watson's award-winning wines. The tasting room's friendly staff offer complimentary winetastings every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m., April - December.

Finley Wildlife Refuge

William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge was created to provide vital wintering habitat for dusky Canada geese. Travel south 10 miles from Corvallis, Oregon, or north 7.5 miles from Monroe, Oregon, to milepost 93 on Highway 99W. Watch for the refuge entrance sign on the west side of the road. Follow refuge signs for 2 miles to the refuge headquarters.

Greengable Gardens

Greengable Gardens blends elegance and serenity in a ten-acre collector's garden surrounded by the peaceful sounds of a rippling creek. You can take a self-guided walk or take a tour of the gardens.

The Brass Ring

Boston Mill Society

Boston Mills, built in 1858 is an agricultural and architectural landmark of the Willamette Valley. Boston/Thompson's Mills is Oregon's oldest continuously operating water powered mill. It is one of five remaining grist mills in the state and one of only two mills still in operation.
