Oregon Coast Aquarium

Located in Newport.
You'll find a slice of Oregon's rugged coastline, beautifully reproduced on the shores of Newport's Yaquina Bay. Here you can meet more than 190 animal species that thrive in Oregon's unique marine habitats. Visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium online for more information.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is open every day except December 25.
Summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Also available are guided tours, a cafe and a gift shop.

Cape Perpetua

A place of Discovery
The 2,700 acre Cape Perpetua Scenic Area is located along the Central Oregon Coast, three miles south of Yachats, Oregon. Hiking, beach combing, wildlife viewing, tide pool exploring and Visitor Center exhibits await you. Long before early explorers crossed the horizon, generations of native people gathered here, drawn by the bounty of the sea and the stark beauty of the land.

White Wolf Sanctuary

Nye Beach

Nye Beach is a quaint, seaside village that began in 1866 when John Nye claimed a parcel of land. Today this beautiful historic area is filled with shops, restaurants, and art galleries.

Sea Lion Caves

Formation of the cavern began about 25 million years ago. It now soars to the height of a 12 story building and stretches the length of a football field. Care is taken not to disturb the natural habitat of the wild animals that dwell here. Sea lions gather in these natural amphitheater, usually during fall and winter. In spring and summer, they breed and have their young on rock ledges just outside the cave. The Stellar sea lion in a warm blooded mammal which gives birth, nurses its young, and must breathe air.
