So good, in fact, that in 1996 he purchased the campground from his father, who had owned it for 11 years prior. "I purchased the campground because it is my life. I love to work and meet people," he said. "I try to do my best to innovate, to build, to improve-year after year." His office and the newly remodeled bathrooms and laundry are a source of pride for Charles. His staff at the Quebec City KOA also prides themselves on being excellent listeners. "I would tell you with no hesitation . . . listen!" he said. "Every customer has needs, they only have to ask us and we help them." Charles said if a customer needs help with an appointment while in the area, whether it is at the garage, barber shop or car rental business, the staff will make a call and place a reservation.
