Custer / Mount Rushmore KOA

Open May 1 - September 30

You should see the Hills from here! Custer/Mt. Rushmore KOA is your central location for seeing all of the Black Hills. We are in the center of all five major Black Hills attractions: Mount Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Cave National Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and Custer State Park, all within 6 to 22 miles of the campground. We can arrange car rentals or tours with a local tour company that picks you up at your site. Downtown Custer has great restaurants and free live entertainment twice a week on summer evenings. You might even spot General Custer strolling around! After a day of sightseeing, unwind at our tranquil campground among the ponderosa pines, just 3 miles west of Custer. The kids will love our jumping pillow, game room and playground. Seasonal activities (Memorial Day to Labor Day) include full chuckwagon breakfasts, ice cream socials, kids' crafts and games, and a heated pool, weather permitting. We offer 1 and 2-room kamping kabins, 30 and 50-amp pull-thru and back-in sites, and several types of tent sites, from primitive to deluxe. Free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, an on-site store, laundry, dump station, firewood, picnic tables, and propane are available. Rates are higher July 1-5 and August 6-15 (Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Custer Cruisin' dates).

Visit the Custer KOA campground blog at www.custerkoa.com for the latest information, local happenings, and other fun camping news. We are also on Twitter at info@custerkoa.com.

Policy for more than one camping unit (tent, R.V., etc.) per site: If two camping units share a site, each unit must pay the camping fee. A camping unit is a vehicle, motor home, camper, tent or any other device used for sleeping. Additional tents for a family (parents or grandparents and their unmarried minor children or grandchildren) are considered a single camping unit. In all cases, all camping equipment and vehicles must fit on the site and not block access to adjoining sites or the road. Not all sites are designated as double-ups. Double-up sites cannot be reserved online or through the Call Center; please contact the campground directly at 605-673-4304.

Cancellation Policy During Sturgis/Custer Cruisin' Rallies (August 6-August 15, 2010): Cancellations made after June 30, 2010 will result in forfeiture of the entire first night's deposit. Guests choosing to leave early after checking in will not receive a refund on unused nights.
