Badlands / White River KOAMeet Your Hosts "We have come full circle," says Steve Snyder, who, with his wife Jane, manages the Badlands / White River, SD KOA Kampground. "We got into the campground business years ago when we purchased this campground. Then we became Field Service Representatives for KOA, where we shared our expertise with campgrounds around the country as part of the Business Development team." "Now, we're back at the Badlands / White River KOA as managers," says Jane. "This campground is one of the most relaxing stops on your trip - the area is so unique and interesting. The word 'oasis' is often used to describe this park - you will see why that is fitting: the quiet and relaxing atmosphere is one of the campground's best assets - you will not hear a train, plane or highway noise here." The campground is host to many college groups coming to do paleontology. "It's always interesting when the students come back and share their successes with us. We also host many service and church groups who come to help on the Indian reservation, which is just south of us." The campground was recently notified that they rank in the top 300 out of the 12,000 campgrounds that Trailer Life inspects. "We are most proud of our customer service, customer satisfaction and cleanliness," explains Steve. When they are not on the campground, Steve and Jane enjoy mountain biking, hiking and all high school sports. "We have raised four kids, but we now adopt the school in our area," says Jane.
