Jaden's Haywagon Rides
Nightly, from May 9 thru Labor Day Weekend (weather permitting), we offer the ever popular Jaden's Haywagon rides. On several occasions, Amarillo KOA will have the fun filled "Wet" Haywagon rides. Be sure to come prepared for these "wet" rides - pack your squirt guns!!
Ice Cream Socials ($)
Amarillo KOA will again hold several Ice Cream Socials ($). Amarillo KOA will provide the bowls, spoons, ice cream and toppings so you can "meet, greet, and eat" with your fellow campers. Check our "Welcome Board" when you arrive for special announcements regarding special events.

Come Camp With Us Day(CCWUD)/Mother's Day Weekend
CCWUD 2009 offers you, your family and all your friends a fantastic camping opportunity ~ Pay for your RV/Tent/Kabin site for Friday, May 8 and you will receive Saturday, May 9 FREE! Call early (800.562.3431) or secure your specific site online here at www.amarillokoa.com! CCWUD is an international 2 day event that is sponsored by participating KOA Kampgrounds. CCWUD has grown into the premiere camping event. This exciting event enables campers to experience what KOA is all about ~ friendly, caring owners and their staff - willing to open their hearts and campgrounds to introduce new families to camping and welcome back many camping friends. In addition, CCWUD benefits children in the midst of health battles no one should have to face. Free-will donations will be accepted during this event to benefit KOA Care Camps - for children with cancer. Amarillo KOA and their guests will raise funds this weekend through special activities/events. Join us for a "Build Your Own Sundaes" Ice Cream Social ($) on Saturday night. Monies raised during this weekend's events will be donated to KOA Care Camps. Your participation in this exciting weekend will help send hundreds of children battling cancer to these very special camps where they get to experience the joy of camping......and just being a kid......adventures we take for granted. Amarillo KOA extends a big "Thank you" for your participation in this worthwhile, exciting weekend event. Your involvement and contributions are greatly needed and will be deeply appreciated. All planned events/activities at Amarillo KOA are free to all registered guests. Visiting guests are welcome to participate for a fee. Andy Hackbarth Live Performance
Grab your chairs, order dinner from the Kowpoke Kafe and join the fun as Andy Hackbarth performs for our guests. Andy will perform a variety of songs beginning at 7 p.m. at the front of the campground (weather permitting). If the weather won't cooperate - meet in the recreation room - as we won't let the weather dampen our spirits or fun!

Patriotic "Wet & Wild" July 4th Celebration
Flags will fly high this 4th of July at Amarillo KOA. Prizes will be awarded to the campers/site showing their best "explosion" of patriotic colors. Join in the fun at our Ice Cream Social ($). Our ever popular Jaden’s Haywagon will be on the "Wet & Wild" side all weekend long - squirt guns and swimsuits recommended. Come have a "blast" with all of us while we celebrate the July 4th weekend in Red, White & Blue splendor. Our very popular Kowpoke Kafe will be serving dinner from 6 - 9 pm daily. Let our friendly staff deliver your purchased dinners directly to you site. "Spark" your friends and relatives to "explode" on the scene and have a "star spangled" celebration with you. "Kick Back & Relax" Labor Day Weekend
Summer is winding down and the camping season is coming to a close. Amarillo KOA wishes to express our sincere "Thanks" to all of our returning guests by offering 1 FREE night of camping!!! Reserve your RV/Tent site for 3 nights this Labor Day Weekend and receive your 3rd night of camping FREE!!! Simply present your receipts, at time of registration, indicating you have stayed at Amarillo KOA on 3 separate occasions (at least 2 nights per stay) or ask us to research our camper data base for your personal camping history with Amarillo KOA for the 2009 season. This is our way of "Thanking You" for your loyalty during 2009.
