United States Army Medical Department MuseumThe Museum collection consists of Army medical equipment (including captured medical equipment used by foreign armies), uniforms, artwork, photographs, and scales models. The Museum is also assembling a collection of restored and replica ambulance vehicles. Also on display is a significant collection of American prisoner-of-war memorabilia and equipment which illustrates the continuing care and "service above self" which is the foundation of Army medicine. The Museum has the improvised medical instrument set used by then Captain Thomas Hewlett to treat his fellow prisoners in Japan during World War II, as well as Army Nurse Corps prisoner-of-war material from the Philippines. Cascade CavernsTexas' only cavern with 100' waterfall. Cascade Caverns is a "fairyland" of fragile, delicate, and crystal clear formations.
