Tankersley Gardens

Groomed five acre garden with a natural island reached by one of the nine footbridges along gravel trails. A variety of flowering shrubs, annuals and perennials have been planted among native dogwood, redbud and buckeye to achieve year-round color. Facilities include a covered pavilion, wedding chapel, gazebo and garden room for weddings, parties, meetings and other events. Also available are a giftshop, greenhouse, restrooms and kitchen. Open April 1 thru October 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Tuesday thru Saturday). Open November thru March by appointment. Small fee charged.

Modern Western Museum

A huge collection of John Wayne memorabilia. Videos, magazines, knives, a cavalry sabre and much more. Open Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Weekdays and Winter hours by appointment only. Small admission fee charged.
