Houston Central KOAMeet Your Hosts It didn't take long for Hitesh Patel to find his niche after arriving from India to the United States. While in India, Patel worked in various aspects of the diamond business from buying and selling the gems to manufacturing. When he got a chance to come to the United States, he took it. For six years he worked for the Houston Central campground owner at another campground in Phoenix, Ariz. The desert setting appealed to him for its dry climate and lack of bugs. "It is a little different in Texas," he said. He lives with his wife and children on the campground, and likes to take drives and to hike. Although he is not yet a camper, Patel said he looks forward to taking a long vacation one day and beginning to camp with his family. When campers come to the Houston campground, Patel is known for taking an interest in their life story and talking to them. "I like to find out where they are from and what they have done," he said. |
