Vernal / Dinosaurland KOAOpen April 1 - October 31 This campground makes a perfect base for dinosaur tracking in northeastern Utah. Visit Dinosaur National Monument where more than 1,600 bones are embedded in a rock wall. Check with the KOA staff for locations where you can dig for fossils. Take a day to view the world's longest corridor of Native American petroglyphs and pictographs in Nine Mile Canyon. If ancient history isn't your passion, you can hike or bike. Choose mountain meadows, desert canyons or cool alpine forests. Raft the Green or Yampa rivers for a thrill you'll never forget. After an adventure-filled day, head back to KOA for a relaxing dip in the pool. Kids can enjoy mini golf and ride banana bikes. Visit with campers at an ice cream social or a mouthwatering barbecue. Relax under a shade tree and enjoy true Western hospitality. Remember Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid gazed upon the same stars.
