Mount Vernon, the treasured estate of George and Martha Washington, is not only America’s most popular historic home -- it is also one of our country’s oldest ongoing preservation projects. Open every day including Christmas as follows: April thru August -- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., March, September, October -- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and November through February -- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. An admission fee is charged with a discount for senior citizens and groups.
