Our Summershiners are here to make your vacation the best ever! The Summershiner program strives to select young people with personal faith and strong, caring hearts. Summershiners are full-time employees of the campground and lead nearly all of the recreation activities and the chapel services. KOA Summershiners and KOA kids - so happy together! Join us for good, clean family fun.

If you love having fun and are a Virginia resident, then check out a Fun Card. With a Fun Card, you pay for a day and receive unlimited admission to Busch Gardens Williamsburg through Sept. 1, 2008. Fun Card lets you experience all the hot events of summer including the Summer Nights Concert Series. A Fun Card is only $56.95, the same price as a single-day admission ticket. *Based on $56.95 Regular admission.

MAY - MOTHER'S DAY and MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND
On this weekend we feel it is necessary to honor our camping Moms. All Mothers will get a free flower. Our campers can honor their Mothers with a tie-dye shirt$ and handmade card.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Display your Flag at your site. Lots of fun and games. We will have sidewalk chalk, a horseshoe tournament, a decorated bike parade, and we'll have fun tie-dying a patriotic shirt$.

JUNE - SUMMER CELEBRATION (Second weekend in June) and FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND

Summer is what we've been waiting for! The Summershiners are in full swing. Horseshoe tournament, scavenger hunt, sidewalk chalk and more!
FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND: On this special weekend all Fathers receive a "Stay one night, get one night free" certificate valid for the off-season. Let Dad know how special he is. Tie-dye a shirt$ for him or make a card. Activities will include a horseshoe tournament and church service in honor of Dad.

JULY - JULY 4TH CELEBRATION and KID"S WEEKEND

Celebrate our country's independence with us! Activities will include pool games and a horseshoe tournament. The celebration doesn't stop there. We'll tie-dye shirts$ (red, white and blue), we'll have a decorated bike parade and face painting.
KIDS WEEKEND (Last weekend in July): Kids are special at KOA. Activities include craft instruction for kids, face painting, tie-dying shirts$, an ice cream social, and a scavenger hunt.

AUGUST - SUMMERFEST (Second weekend in August)

SEPTEMBER - LABOR DAY WEEKEND

BUSCH GARDENS' October "Howl-O-Scream" : Guaranteed to conjure up scary characters and ghoulish goblins. Experience the haunting of Das Festhaus, a monster-sized maze, and eerie laser light show and a haunted locomotive. There are also activities for younger children.

NOVEMBER -MILITARY APPRECIATION MONTH And THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Discounted rates on camping fees for all military personnel and veterans.
