The Chittenden Locks is one of the busiest waterways in the U.S. for shipping terminals. It connects the saltwater of Puget Sound with fresh water of Lake Union. Watch the boats raise and lower as the locks push water in and out of the Puget Sound and Lake Union to make a connecting waterway. Also, check out the underwater visitor's center to see the salmon ladders.
