Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOAMeet Your Host Dale Brechlin and his wife, Jane, came to West Virginia to manage the Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefield, West Virginia KOA, after traveling the country in their RV with their two Golden Retriever-Australian Shepard-mix dogs, a cat and their Parrot Alex. They both gave up their corporate careers and decided to travel while they could. In all, Dale has been to 46 states. Dale is a scout leader, a Rotarian, and an outdoor enthusiast. "I love white water, hiking, and camping. We have had all the different kinds of campers except a fifth wheel. We currently own a Newmar class A," says Dale. Dale and Jane love the West Virginia mountains, rivers, and the civil war history. Regarding his campers, Dale says, "I believe in treating customers the way I need to be treated as a customer, because I understand how they feel. We are a destination campground and I love the atmosphere here with the families who come to get away from the busy weeks' work and be entertained." Come meet Dale Brechlin. |
